Installatron Adds Support for Plesk Windows, Announces Control Panel API
Carlisle PA, 31 December 2008
Installatron has announced support for the Plesk Windows web hosting control panel, and a control panel integration API.
Installatron, the multi-platform auto-installer, has announced support for the Windows edition of Plesk Panel, the popular web hosting control panel developed by Parallels. Plesk Windows extends Installatron's list of internally supported control panels, which also include the Linux/FreeBSD Plesk Panel, JMBC Software's DirectAdmin, and cPanel Inc's cPanel/WHM suite.
This release also sees the inclusion of Installatron Control Panel Integration API, allowing Installatron to be integrated into any web hosting control panel software. "This feature will give companies using custom control panels the benefits of a well-developed and maintained auto-installer," said co-founder Phillip Stier. "In fact, just about any platform can use this API to add Installatron. This opens the world of auto-installing to just about everyone."
Installatron is the leading muti-platform auto-installer and auto-upgrader plugin for the cPanel/WHM, DirectAdmin, Plesk Linux, and now Plesk Windows web-hosting control panels. It was launched in 2004, and is the only true multi-platform auto-installer system.
Parallels is a leading developer of virtualization systems, and is behind both Plesk Panel and Virtuozzo; two of the leading products in web hosting. Parallels was founded in 1997 as SWsoft, and renamed to Parallels in 2007.
