I'm running a cpanel server on CentOS 4.5 32-bit with eAccelerator installed. How do I ugprade PHP 4.4.6 to version 4.4.7 ? Do I need to recompile Apache and/or eAccelerator? Thanks in advance.

mod_php or php as cgi? For mod_php you'll just need to restart apache. cgi I don't think you need to do anything with apache.

scripts/easyapache is what you need to use.

4.4.7 is not offered in the current release of CPanel, at least not in version 11.2.19-C12737 or below.

4.4.7 + 5.2.3 are available in easyapache, they are even available in STABLE.

As Scott has said, the latest versions of PHP do seem to be available in the current builds of cPanel. I just upgraded to 5.2.3 on a clients server (at their request), and it worked perfectly fine.

You'll have to recompile eAccelerator after every PHP version change, whether its an upgrade or downgrade.

Will it build it with the same modules as before or do I have to manually pick them again?

Use choice 7, that'll use the last config you used, only thing you'd need to is change the PHP version.

Oh, it's that easy. easyapache is the same as building apache from within WHM, right? Thanks for the help.

Select the 7, then find PHP, press enter, you will see the PHP 4.4.7 option on it.
