Posted by SERVERIA, 02-05-2010, 04:17 PM Hi, I've checked the pages of my website with W3C validator tool recently. My HTML is ok, it has passed XHTML 1.0 Strict check. Unfortunately, I had some errors in CSS and validation failed. I've checked the errors and found out that they all are located in the area of my code which is a part of Twitter widget situated on my front page. Here's the output I got: Sorry! We found the following errors (15) URI : http://widgets.twimg.com/j/1/widget.css 8 .twtr-widget Property zoom doesn't exist : 1 1 8 .twtr-doc Property -moz-border-radius doesn't exist : 5px 5px 8 .twtr-doc Property -webkit-border-radius doesn't exist : 5px 5px 8 .twtr-doc Property border-radius doesn't exist in CSS level 2.1 but exists in : 5px 5px 8 .twtr-widget .twtr-tweet-wrap Property zoom doesn't exist : 1 1 8 .twtr-widget .twtr-tweet Property zoom doesn't exist : 1 1 8 .twtr-widget i, .twtr-widget .twtr-new-results Property zoom doesn't exist : 1 1 8 .twtr-hd Property zoom doesn't exist : 1 1 8 .twtr-timeline Property -moz-border-radius doesn't exist : 6px 6px 8 .twtr-timeline Property -webkit-border-radius doesn't exist : 6px 6px 8 .twtr-timeline Property border-radius doesn't exist in CSS level 2.1 but exists in : 6px 6px 8 .twtr-flat .twtr-timeline Property overflow-x doesn't exist in CSS level 2.1 but exists in : hidden hidden 8 .twtr-flat .twtr-timeline Property overflow-y doesn't exist in CSS level 2.1 but exists in : scroll scroll 8 Unknown pseudo-element or pseudo-class :last-child 8 .twtr-ft div Property zoom doesn't exist : 1 1 Is this fixable? Or it's easier to find another CSS validator friendly Twitter widget? Any ideas?
Posted by sKunKbad, 02-07-2010, 02:36 AM I also validate and am standards minded, but unless somebody is holding a gun to your head, it's OK to have an error. As long as it looks good in all browsers, and there is no visible error, then you can take a deep breath and know that the God of the universe will not strike you with a bolt of lightning. (well at least not for the CSS error).
