Desktop Ticket System

Posted by crimsongreen, 02-02-2011, 10:05 AM
Hello, I wondered if anyone knew off a ticket system that was desktop based. The user would download the application log in and create tickets etc. Sort of like the OVH manager. Or if there were any good resources available for me to give it a go in c#?

I am sure kayako has this feature, you should check it out. I am using vision helpdesk on multiple companies, but the desktop app isn't that good, but I am sure kayako does have one.

No these downloaded applications are for the company side to answer them. I'm talking about "customers" downloaded an application and being able to submit tickets. No web based portal.

Why would you want to make clients download software to submit a ticket? If this is the only way to submit tickets then a lot of people will not sign up.

It wouldn't be the only way but it would be a lot more convienent. Lot's of my customers have requested a feature like it hence why im investigating it.

Seems like more of a hassle then anything... delivering such a service via a web application is a lot easier from an upgrading perspective (just to name one). Most legacy (~ VB6) WinForms apps that I work with are slowly migrating over to web apps for that reason alone.
