Plesk Upgrade...

Posted by relichost, 05-21-2008, 02:40 PM
Hi I have got some old plesk boxes that i am trying to migrate to a new box running 8.4 the old versions are 5.0.4 and 5.0.5. I have managed to export everything from the 5.0.5 box but i cannot do it from the 5.0.4 box. I have searched all day long for how you can upgrade from 5.0.4 to 5.0.5. All I got from the rather helpful folks at Plesk (or what ever they call themselves these days) is that i need to upgrade to 7.5. I really need some help here. Thanks

Yes they are right about the intermediate version. You have to first upgrade to 7.5 and then to 8.4 . This needs to be done in steps after clearing out issues at each stage, since you are running a pretty old version

ftp://download1.swsoft.com/Plesk/ This is the old version download location. But 5 version folder has permission denied error you can go with the 7.5 upgrade and them to 8.X ..its perfectly fine
