The disk space and transfer is divied up between as many accounts as you can fit. If you need more transfer or diskspace you can either upgrade to another plan or purchase them in blocks at a discount. Terry

Well, actually, it's alot. Most sites use about 10-50 MB, so you can put many sites on it.

Many, many sites use less than FIVE mb! Most hosts count on this when they sell accounts. I.e., they may offer 50 or 100 mb, but they assume that a particular percentage of clients will use far less, and they budget their servers accordingly. McHost looks like a great deal, but I would advise caution. They look like they're just getting started. I'm in the process of moving my accounts from a similar host, because their performance and support were so bad. At least they had a toll-free phone number! Now I'm paying for each account by the month, and it hurts, but it's worth it because they WORK! Happy clients = more business. You get what you pay for. Etc. Please keep us "posted" on your experiences with McH.

Like all things the MCHost approach hs pros and cons. Their reseller scheme offers many of the advantages of a dedicated server without some of the admin headaches. What to my mind their system is the epitome of, is the oversell/underutilize schema. You oversell the space and hope they underutilize the bandwidth; the real bottle neck in their plans, in my opinion. Most sites average very low amounts of both space and bandwidth, however most users also WANT both. Providing a large amount of space is not a problem with their plans but (in my experience) users are looking for plans with no less than 1 and preferable 2-3G of banwidth. especially when given a fairly large amount of disk space. That means that the most you can host on the low end plan is 2-5 sites since, while most won't use it, you still have to prvide the bandwidth anyway. Again it is all a numbers game. From everything I have heard MCHost are good folks to deal with though and the few messages I have exchanged with Marc were always answered promptly, and informatively.
