AspDotNetStoreFront error

Hello, One of our customers has setup AspDotNetStoreFront in his website. The website is functioning and all the data is retrieved from the database which is on SQL 2000 server. However, when trying to access the admin section, we get an error saying SQL connection could not be established. If we empty the database, we get the error Invalid Object AppConfig which means that the table AppConfig does not exist. This means that the SQL connectivity is proper. But once we restore the DB, the same error appears again. Has anybody faced a similar issue and resolved, then please help me.
