fsockopen error

Testing out a couple of php mail scripts, gmail and sendmail. Gmail script gives off this error: Sendmail: The server is using Cpanel 11, Centos. I have PHP 5 compiled with CSF firewall if that matters somewhere along the line. Any help appreciated. Domlogs did not show anything more than the above does.. The content of the test_gmail.php file is:

Is the php mail() function an option for you? And is that working?

I assume php mail itself works fine since no client reported any issues. I'm guessing the errors is traced to this specific person only.
