Assuming you are using Linux, you'd probably want to start the BIND service (Its the DNS Service) and then edit then add the NS Records for your Nameservers into the DNS zones. You should also register your nameservers with your domain registrar and the IP addresses that you are going to use as well.

you have to assign name servers ns1.yourdomain and ns2.yourdomain with your registrar be it netsol, enom or godaddy first.

You would use the IP addresses that you were alotted...You are the one that creates your nameservers. You would normally buy the IP addresses from your provider.

if you have purchased a vps/dedicated solution - You normally would have been provided multiple IP's from your host. Check your welcome emails etc for information on what you have been allocated. You will need to install a dns service like bind. yum install bind (For example) you will need to update your /etc/nameserverip file in the following syntax: 123.456.788=ns1.yourdomain.com 123.456.789=ns2.yourdomain.com If you are using some sort of control panel, like cPanel or Plesk - There are ways to do this via the web interface. As said above, configure your nameserver ip's at the registrar. Good luck

If you have cpanel, then you don't need to install anything at all. go to "Networking Setup" > "NameServer IPs" and you can configure them from here. viola

You can register private nameservers using the IPs of default nameservers provided in the welcome email. Please register your nameservers with your domain registrar first. Thank you
