Need help for my mails...

Hello, I just come accross that I might need a place to host all mf my mail. Actually I'm pretty new to this and have no idea what I can do with it. Im my case, I have my own host but I really don't want to put the sites and the mails into one host because I will be screwed up if the host down. This is why I want to get a saperate mail host/server. Yes! The new host ONLY for mails not for web sites. Do I need a new domain for my mail hosting? If so, what I can do to apply a new host ONLY for mails. If you have any suggestions, drop me a note here. Thank you very much!

It's not hard to do. All you have to do is modify your MX records to point to another provider. I've seen valai.net advertise email hosting services a few times on WHT. They have servers located with focalhosting in Florida, and focalhosting has a good reputation around here.

I just wondering that I change the MX records point to the email server then I'm all set. However, I also have a question for that. Do I need to transfer my domain to the email hosting or just change the NS at my registrar? Can I still using the external email server IF AND ONLY IF my current web hosting is down?
