Passwords and WHM

Hi All! I'm a newbie member to this forum, but have been reading the posts for a while trying to determine who my next reseller host will be since the one I am with now is less than satisfactory... My question to all who will listen is this: I asked my current host: Shouldn't I be using a SSL server to access my WHM panel since I am entering account passwords there? Their response is: "I wouldn't worry thought as there are other secuirty features built in (can't go into detail though that make it safe)" What's up with that? What kind of security measures can be built in that would make it safe for me to enter passwords on a non-secure server? Thanx to all who will reply!

You should be able to access WHM securely by using https://www.yourdomain.com:2087
