HyperVM Password Reset

Posted by Dougy, 04-13-2009, 09:25 PM
HyperVM seems to have messed up its passwords during rsyncing. Is there a way I can force a password reset without the lost password feature?

Did you try: cd /usr/local/lxlabs/lxadmin/httpdocs/ lphp.exe ../bin/common/resetpassword.php master ?

Ok, this will reset the admin password in HyperVM, so you can login through the web panel again.

Interesting error, I haven't seen that before. I'm not sure. I'm sorry. Not sure if this works, but you could give this a try: passwd admin Do not hold me liable if that doesn't work or creates anymore problems.

AFAIK there is no system user named admin created for hypervm, everything is database driven. You may try your luck piping SQL statements to hypervmdb to try reset the password forcefully; Believe the admin details are stored in the client table, suggest contacting lxlabs support since /scripts/resetpassword should have worked in the first place.
