Kualo or Weberz?

Posted by otso, 08-11-2002, 03:02 AM
I've been reading a lot of posts and researching about reselling a lot. I got everything ready including my website and merchant. the only problem now is which place to go with. I've narrowed it down to the 2. I am really having a hard time deciding on which one to go with. With kualo's august special i can get an extra 10gb of transfer and it's cheaper which is making me think of going with them. Can you guys help me make a decision (speed wise, support, etc)? Thanks a lot in advance. Last edited by otso; 08-12-2002 at 12:16 PM.

Weberz! Hi... I am with Weberz and I recommend them.. Nice services and support ..... H-Sphere will help you more in automating your web hosting services, as it includes sign up, billing, etc, but it may take more time is setting it up and understanding it...

Very nice way to talk about a competitor. Definately.

I think what matrix was trying to state is his own warped way was that cpanel has great features for virtual hosting but frankly their reseller abilities are far from optimal. I would even call them sub standard. Hsphere is the only reseller option I am aware of that allows you complete freedom in every aspect. Everything is included and also completely transparent from the hosting company. You never see the hosting company's name once hsphere has been completely setup by the reseller . I definately agree that it takes time and effort but is well worth the wait. Now see wasn't LOL They run Cpanel any thing is better then that..LOL a much shorter way to say all that

Hey I just don't have time to say all the bad things about CPanel. Marc don't be mad be glad.. I am only trying to give you a hint here of the better control panel.. No need to get worked up.. BTW what ever happend to your CP? Every one has a right to say they do or don't like a CP. Sorry i just don't like Cpanel for Resellers or even end users for that matter after using H-Sphere.

Me had look at Demo at Matrixreseller. MMMMmmm.. Very, Very, powerful system. Me like MAX POWER

thats just the end users side as well unless you looked at the Admin demo.. H-Sphere is great hard to beat..

Posted by MAX POWER, 08-14-2002, 09:13 PM
Yes...it does look very good. I think I looked at the Reseller panel. If I did not and it was the end user, well, look out here I come. MAX POWER

Go with the H-sphere host. Always Plus Tracy over at Weberz is a good guy. I have never heard of Kualo.

hello I use both Cpanel that H-Sphere (with weberz) I think that H-Sphere is more complete and have a lot of function ut it's also more difficult to understand how it works. Cpanel is very easy for a little reseller. About hoster I'm with weberz and I find very well with good assistance!

Hey I just don't have time to say all the bad things about CPanel. CPanel/WHM is ok if you have a good and reliable partner in the background. I'm completely satisfied with it. John

Weberz.com all the way.... support is fast and refreshing nice uptime... Since i'm also user of both CPanel & H-Sphere i can say H-Sphere is little complicated at first, but is more complete with billing, ticketing, sitecreater etc. Anyway.. this thread is not about discussing CPanel & H-Sphere so pls dun get carried away cheers!

Hi IMHO, chosing a webhost partner is more than just comparing tech spec and pricing. To me reliability is one of the key question as well. Through the website, I would think that Kualo is more establish. It has numerous office in both EU and US. It messages is more consistant with what they are doing. I do find weberz site kind of strange as they are offering web design service??? To me, that mean they are not focus in their business. There are also some missing link in their website. Overall it really give me a feeling that it is run by a very very small team.

Yeah but Curiosity killed the Cat not IMO Reliability sure should be the key question. That means if going by your views then Kualo few yrs down line when was small was unreliable but now has become reliable?? Many 10 times big companies/(established) also don't give the Support which Weberz.com or Voxtreme.com gives. Lets not talk about the datacenter as the big established co. may have his own datacenter. But Weberz.com also don't put its servers in its farm house or garage. It puts its servers in one of the best Datacenter. Weberz.com may be new in the webhosting biz, but i've heard they're doing SSL certs etc. for long time. So b4 commenting one should do some research, some Search. I don't even have a proper website, but considered one of the good webhosting providers in my area (again not IMO, but customers ) but maybe in your opinion i'm totally unreliable??

That means if going by your views then Kualo few yrs down line when was small was unreliable but now has become reliable?? I agree with that. New companies should have a chance - any company started at some point so new is not = unreliable and old is not always = reliable. Customer service is often much better in small companies. Furthermore the owner of weberz has been around for some years before starting this business and should be skilled in the field as well. John

Hello, Might I just add that a lot of this comment about Kualo seems to be based on speculation... Our average response time is around 15 mins - far from what was being suggested above - so I think that deserves to be clarified. Perhaps if you need the opinions of our current customers then our own forums would be a good place to start - I think many of our users were scared away from these big forums! Thanks, Jo

jstonehouse speculation?? i think noone said anything bad about Kualo based on speculation, at least in this thread. Thanks for the hasty clarification of average response time, though i still can't figure out where & what was suggested above... 15hrs? oh yeah.. i tell my customers to stay away fro WHT or ur accounts will be terminated!! J/K

A few years back there are probably 50 or so hosting company who have start together with Kaolo. Probably 1 make it big, 9 still struggling and 40 close down. To me I will place my bet on the one that make it.

Would you care to clarify what you mean by a few years? Curiosity may kill this cat

Hats off to Curious Cat!! good research!! who gave u this figures? then i'd say their database is corrupted, or u just dreamt it IMO Webhosting is not just Weberz/ MatrixRS/ Kualo/ Voxtreme/ McHost, see out of this box also, many large players are there, as rightly pointed by UmBillyChord also sometime back. so mr/ms cat can u pls climb any nearest tree and count how many buildings around u for last few years? now pls dun come up with same stats
