Any reseller plans from hosts who have been around a while and don't suck?

I remember MCHOST were supposed to be great, but from what I've been reading recently they seem to be going down the toilet. Do any of you guys use a hosting companies reseller plan which is reliable, AND the host has been in the business for a while? I'd really like to start running a little hosting company for my own websites and my friends (and a few local businesses), but really don't want to get stung with a bad host (I've been stung way too many times...) Thanks

Your best bet would be to find a few hosts that interest you and then do some searching here at WHT for some feedback on them and see what you can come up with that way first.

I went from MCHost to http://www.voxtreme.com several months ago and can recommend them. Their support is really great and fast, their servers are very stable. From reading WHT, http://www.unitedhosting.co.uk also seems to be a good choice.

If you want a popular Cpanel/WHM host specialised in reseller plans, I would say that HTTPme are very popular around here.

I agree NexDog.HTTPme is very popular here.I havent worked with them but there are many positive opinions around. They are a bit more expensive but think its worth to try.

I am very, very happy with my reseller account at Okihost -http://www.okihost.com Paul and company are very, very responsive, the servers are great, and since they are hosted at RackShack, you know the network is solid.

You may want to find a hosting company that gives you bulk hosting. This way you have minimal setup time and can maintain all your domains in one account. You should go to psoft.net site and look at the reseller partners if you want a full fledged reseller program. Here is a link to psoft's partners >> http://psoft.net/resellers.php

insiderhosting is a great company. They have servers in multiple data centers (HE.net,The Planet, Equinix). I havent experienced any downtime since the day i signed which is going on 3 months. Support is great, i always get my questions answered within the hour. I can even recall a time where i opened a ticket, and closed because it was my mistake, then having them re open it to explain in detail why and where i was going wrong. costs are great... i could probably say more but you get the point. Seriously though, im glad i found them... they're giving their customers more then what they could ask for 8:57pm up 68 days, 14:28, 0 users, load average: 0.60, 0.35, 0.23

With SSH access. Nice and secure host.

yeah they use all dual-xeon servers... so you get what you pay for

I've been very happy with Splashhost. For the most part, support has been very prompt and helpful (even when it's my own stupidity). I don't think you could go wrong with Alan and friends.

So every host with dual xeons means good? If someone wants to know why they are good, check their forums (or WHT), not checking the server config. And yes, HTTPme is good and has dual xeons

Posted by Choppy, 05-28-2003, 06:15 PM
hehe Dual Xeons means better host? NO just better investment, You can pack on the resellers on a server like that. Be cheaper than needing smaller config servers and more cpanel license etc. Regards Phillip

nice assumption..... , but completely wrong. I have no ssh access.

I'll just pipe in here to say: try out resellerspace.net - the business I've done with them is top notch and the support is unreal. Worth checking out.

Lots of good ones here. But I'll only comment on with whom I've had experience. I've had a reseller account with www.prioritycolo.com for 10 months now. Top notch host. Excellent customer support. Just do a search here for them. You'll see nothing but good reports. Good luck in your search. Vito

But where oh where has OKIhost gone? I've sent him 2 emails and a PM but he hasn't responded in days. Too bad too cuz I was just about to signup with him. I checked out your site KoWind and noticed you're brand new-- launched 2 months ago to the day. Anyway, I'm back to square one with my search for a reseller account. Anna

Don't go with MCHost!!! THEY STEAL THE MONEY OF THEIR RESELLERS. And it's not a personal experience, ask this question to mchost's users you will see. Become a reseller and search the words "OVER CHARGE, DOUBLE BILL" and you will found lots of peoples complaining about this. And when you ask some help.....they close your tickets without any reply. They just close your tickets because they don't want to know your requests. THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!! So, when you can't get any help from their crappy helpdesk, you start a thread on their forum.....and you know what! THEY DELETE YOUR THREAD!!!!!! Hey, all mchost users (and ex-users) am I right? Be honest with those peoples who are looking for a good reseller. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO. I want to insist that this is not a personal attack, we are dozens and dozens who have (and had) these kind of problems. Is there any body who know which merchant account their are using??? I wand to ask some chargeback and make stop my billing from this company (sic). Company?? well....can we call that a company.

Actually, the straw that broke the camels back for me with MCHost was repeated and consistant failure to follow through with promises of improvement. Shortly after I left them almost a year ago, they also let go the two most consistantly good Techs they had. Billing problems did exist for me, but it was the opposite, They didn't bill me from March through July (not that I would have been loosing the $ anyway since I would have been requesting refunds for most of those periods anyway). I continue to this day to be amazed at how often the problems there persist, and they're the same problems I saw a year ago.

Well, I decided to go with Cybrisk. They got some mixed reviews here but I think that the owner's tenacity at replying to his detractors on WHT has got to say something. At any rate, I'll keep come back in a few months after I've had a good chance to evaluate Cybrisk and give some meaningful feedback about his service. Anna

I apologize for the delay as my wife who does most all of the billing/sales for us has been very sick with the flu for the past two weeks and I have been trying to handle all of her work along with my higher than normal workload and we are just now catching up to everything. I will make sure you get a response from one of us today and again I apologize for any inconvenience.

Hope your wife has a speedy road to recovery.

Thank you Bob, Seems as though there is a pretty bad bug going around so I pretty much left her in the bed and provided soup, tissues and medication as needed so luckly she is doing much better now.. thanks again from both of us
