What is the best solution for the VPS hosting trouble. I'm using a VPS hosting with SentOS WHN/Cpanel. My site is going up and down everyday. It has been already like 3 days. Services restarts 2-3 times a day. I have no clue on what are those services nor how to solve it. So, I asking hosting company for help. Seems to me they have no idea on what is really going on too. I keep getting emails from Cpanel on service restarted. Following are the examples: cpanellogd on host.hello.com failed spamd on host.hello.com failed nameserver on host.hello.com failed queueprocd on host.hello.com failed mysql on host.hello.com failed exim on host.hello.com failed cpsrvd on host.hello.com failed Seems to me I'm helpless on solving this issue and I need to make it working asap. So, I'm thinking to move my site to share hosting. I don't need too many control. As long as my my site running smoothly, i will be fine. Do you guys think going to share hosting will cut trouble for those back end issue? Do you think this is my best solution to solve this problem?

If you dont know how to manage/control/administer/secure/fix a server/vps then you need a managed solution for a quality supplier ... The most common reasons for thsoe will be ram and load - i.e. the VPS is not big enough or powerful enough to cope with what you have running on it (cpanel + mysql + php + sites + email + whatever) Yes, a non-oversold shared hosting account *might* be better than your failing VPS

If I can find a good company that can manage my VPS accounts then that is good. Otherwise, I feel like VPS for me is nightmare as I do not know when they will be starting having problem.

If you have something like PRM installed, it could be killing those processes. And as othello said above, the server may be running out of resources so those processes are just shutting down. What does your server status window look like?

The best thing to do is to see what could be causing these issues. Have you checked /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log or /var/log? But yes, those alerts are mainly issued when the server / cpanel instance is low or out of resources and forces a restart. Your host you be able to see that.

You can contact the cPanel support team and they will check it. Services restarting can only be because of a memory blockage or a Process eating up all the resources. You can check all existing Processes with CPU and Ram usage in WHM. It will give you an idea of whats taking up the resources.

as the others have posted have some one take a look at it if the problems are caused be resource issues from one of your sites than a shared host might suspend you cpanellogd= cpanel log daemon spamd = Assassin nameserver = DNS server queueprocd = task management system mysql = mysql server exim = exim mail server cpsrvd = the cPanel & WebHost Manager service daemon

Well, if you are not sure how to manage a server then the best solution for you is to opt for a Shared hosting plan. You have already said, you don't need much control and just need your website running so shared hosting will be a best solution for you. If you still wish to continue with the VPS, have someone look into your server, especially your hosting company.

Thank you everyone. Really appreciate. It is difficult for me dig out the problem. Even I looked at the access logs, error logs, mysql slow log, but I can't tell what seems to be wrong. Yes, I am just not known good enough for networking. My hosting seems not working on my case any more. So, I'm on my own now. I agree to have hire someone look into it for fix my problem. The company must be reliable, fast reply plus good knowledge about what I need. What companies do you guys recommend? Thanks a lot!
