DO NOT HOST WITH reseller123.net!!!

Posted by csparks, 01-29-2004, 01:05 PM
Reseller123.net, owned by feverhost.com, which also uses the domain server1cisco.com, is a complete rip-off. I started with them on December 28th, 2003. I of course figured they could not be very good, as they offer 2gb space, 50gb bandwidth for $10/MO, now its went up to $15/MO. Anyways, I set a couple of domains there, I was not worried about them as I use them for testing and such. I went to login the other day, and the password to whm and my main domain defaulted back to the one they gave me, as well as one of my accounts being deleted. I emailed them the first time last week, and no response, so I tried there other email address, with no response. I am not here to cry, but to warn, if you place accounts on this host, they will delete them. I dont know if they had server problems or what, but an domain just being deleted is not good IMO. My main reason for having the account was to host my domains on. I have a regular shared account with hostingyourwebsite.net, which I will write a review on shortly, which is where my main domain currently resides. I was conteplating on putting customers on this reseller account, boy am I glad I did not! Anyways, awaiting comments, and yes I know the old saying you get what you pay for, so please dont remind me, as I said this is just to forwarn anybody of thinking about this company.

Just a note, it's not completley unheard of for WHM to remove a domain/account on it's own. They should have got back to you if you emailed them last week i agree, but i wouldn't instantly assume that they just deleted a domain from your account, there could be another explaination, cPanel has it's bugs

Posted by csparks, 01-29-2004, 01:29 PM
it also changed my password though, that is not suppose to happen. I chould not access my account until I figured out that it was the default password they sent me.

Posted by Ash, 01-29-2004, 01:32 PM
hmm, well if you changed your password yourself and a domain was missing it sounds to me like there was possibily a problem and they had to restore the account, that would explain your original pass being reset and if you only just added that domain perhaps the last backup they made was before that was done. Just a guess but that sounds very possibile.

I think loon is on to something, but that doesnt mean the webhost should have notified him about the issue.

Posted by r2h, 01-30-2004, 02:46 AM
There may be a technical problem, but they have to at least update to their customer.

Posted by csparks, 01-31-2004, 07:33 PM
just to update, that I still have not heard anything from these people. I did cancel my paypal subscription, and I guess I am out $10, but I am just glad I never put any customers on there. These damn people make me so made, little kids, thinking they can run a business, but really have no clue about life outside of there parents house. It makes me want to SCREAM! Agh, thats better. You live you learn, then you pick a expensive host, lol.

Edited: I just went through the cPanel logs, and biovelocity was the one who changed the password on his choosenclick.com domain... How sad that you were the one to change the password, and blame them... it sure getting thick in here.. I do some admin work with the company mentioned in this thread and I must come to their side. biovelocity for starters you had a bunch of illegal software files on your accounts. You had copyrighted mp3s on your account. You were given 2 warnings about this, each time you did nothing. Secondly I know for a fact the owner of this company Emailed you, wondering why *YOU* deleted your account on the server. Since you never Emailed him back he re-created the account for you with the temp password. He re-sent you the welcome Email with the updated Email, because once again I saw the Email. I could post every Email they have sent you, and I post your (1 or 2) Emails that you sent them. Although I don't want to cause a big thread, when this problem can easily be solved by actually CONTACTING THEM. Everytime you have Emailed their support (which I have seen every email that goes to admin@ and noc@) has been replied to. Someone who sends harassing Emails, threatens to call the FBI (amazing..) because *YOU* deleted your account, and someone who says he has "a bunch of friends who are going to DDoS you" definitely is not a good customer. I know for a fact Bobby (one of the owners) saw your message on here and he immediately contacted you. Did you ever Email him back, NO. Did you try to contact them in anyway, NO. If you had a problem they have many ways to contact them. AOL, AIM, MSN, ICQ, Email, IRC, etc.. etc.. etc.. Its sad how you do somthing without thinking, then someone tries to help you and you get all freaked out and blame the host.

DaChuckSterz; Firstly, let me congratulate you on the professionalism that is oozing from you in your post. It shines greatly on yourself, and the company in question to insult and berate a former customer, and then to go a step further and say you will publish his private emails on a public forum. If indeed the customer deleted his account, simply say that, or say nothing at all (better), but insulting him isn't going to get you a good reputation, nor the provider. Lastly, if you simply do "some admin work" for the company, why do you feel the need to berate their customers, and how come you have full complete access over their email accounts, and see every email that goes through to their master accounts? If you're "just" an admin, how do you know he didn't contact any of the parties in question? If i were you, right now i'd be more worried about my future with the company in question. If an admin that was hired, full or part time with my company, ever pulled a stunt like you just did, he'd never touch a box of ours again. Simon

what are you talking about DaChickSterz? The only thing on anything was a umb forum, and some family pics. I never changed my password back to defualt sorry to say, but you need to go back over your logs, because I HAVE NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER BEEN CONTACTED BY ANYBODY AT reseller123.net, if I had been it would have been nice to know, that somebody was actually there. Where on there website is there a AOL, AIM, MSN or ICQ. I do think you have reseller123.net mixed up with another company, because nothing you have said makes even remote sense to me. If the owner of reseller123.net would like to contact me, my email address is here, and should be on his records at the host. I am still waiting for a reply to my orginal emails, which I will post here if deamed nessasary. -Craig

IHSL they have been doing great since 1998. IHSL you have absolutely no facts about the situation, you are just the man on the oustside looking in. If you would like to take up the situation with me contact me anytime, i'd love to talk to on the phone about it. Back to the topic at hand as IHSL is just a by standard with no information whatsoever... biovelocity you know as well as I do that the company that is mentioned in this staff does not use the domain that you posted. We both know their support Email, and I've seen the 2 Emails you sent.. that is it. Contact their support anytime, and i'm sure they will help you out. Posting on this board, is not a support forum....

The point is, this is not a WHT issue. Deal with it internally. If the customer did indeed host illegal files with you guys, then just ignore the situation, move on, and thank your lucky stars that you are rid of a law-breaking customer. Airing dirty laundry on a public forum, I'm sure you'd agree, is not the best way to handle it. If you don't wish to have anybody respond to your posts, don't post. I would suggest that possibly Reseller123.net is having teething trouble? I see the domain was registered a month ago. I'm quite sure this isn't how you handled issues under your previous name, back in '98. Simon

I guess I should have also finished reading that post... DDoS attack, not that is too funny, as I thiink that is the dummest thing anyone person could do for "fun" or "pleasure" or whatever. I sent three emails, the first one to: admin@server1cisco.com on 1/25/04 The second one was to ask you to email it to my other account because, for some reason the comcast email I sent it from I could not check: The third and final was sent to: noc@server1cisco.com on 1/27/04 None of those have ever been responded too. If I could prove that here, I would. I dont know who you are, but accusing me of hosting .mp3 files, and sending my friends to DDoS you, is insulting. As far as the FBI goes, well, I never said anything like that, from what can be seen in the emails above, but dont get me wrong here, at this point, my impression of your company is that your a fraud. Now, what I find so interesting is the fact that you, being somebody that is not even full-time employee of reseller123.net, would firstly be reading all the emails as has been stated. Secondly, you just registered today, to post what you posted. I dont know what to think now, but I WILL demand a refund, because I do not believe in giving money away or allowing fraudsters to profit from me. -Craig

One last thing, I would love to contact support, but nobody seems to answer your email accounts over there.

IHSL easy reseller123.net is not their main domain, to my knowledge they own 12.. nice research, failed attempt. FIRST REPLY -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: re: my account Date: 01/25/2004 18:14:53 PM To: CENSORED@biovelocity.com Dear Customer: It appears that you deleted your account. We just re-created the account for you. Please check your initial Welcome Email as we reset your password to the password you gave us when you signed up. If we can help you with anything else, please Email us back here anytime. Sincerely, Admin Dept. SECOND REPLY -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Min you ONCE AGAIN less than a 10 minute reply) Subject: re: Login Problems Date: 1/27/2004 13:48:20 PM To: "Craig Sparks" Dear Customer: We are sorry you are having password problems. We have already Emailed you and stated that since you deleted the account we had to re-create it. We re-created the account with your default password which was sent to again under the Welcome Email. I am unsure why you deleted your own domain, although we re-created it as we assumed it was a mistake. We do have off-site backups and if you wish we can enable your backup for you. We are running a reliable web hosting service here, every since 1998. Our TOS/AUP does not offer refunds as you know this since you signed up and agreed to our Terms of Service and Acceptable User Agreement. Also, you deleted your own domain just a few days ago. Having downtime by your own fault for barely 2 days in a month is not warranted for a full refund. We are sorry you do not wish to use our services anymore. Contact us anytime at admin@server1cisco.com anytime. Sincerely, Admin Dept ------------------ Yes you did say you were going to contact the FBI (I have the email). Yes you said you were going to have a bunch of friends DDoS their servers.. I have the AIM log. Yes you did have software cracks and mp3s on your accounts, I have the directory listings. It irritates me when people bash companies that do not have the facts straight. I am only backing up this company, because I know full heartedly this complaint is not just. I could post a page with biovelocity (2) Emails we received, and all the mp3s and cracks he had on his account. biovelocity if you really want to i'll post everything about your account (although no private information would be posted, all the information I posted here he already submitted). Yes, contact them anytime they would love to hear from you again about this story. BTW yes they just receive your Instant Message, funny you never replied!? I never knew of a aim support until about 10 minutes ago, I had to goto feverhost.com and find it there. I was trying to contact them, and i did not get any reply. I dont know what your trying to pull here, but it needs to end here! I have never recieved any emails from this company, except the signup letter, which I am sure is automated. Anyways, I really am not trying to bash anybody that does not deserve it. I know what I have done to my account, maybe somebody hacked it? Can you please reply to my im with the ip address that has been used to log in on all instances, thanks.

Anyone else think there should be a minimum age limit for someone to own a reseller account and/or buy hosting? It sounds like a junior high school-yard around here.

Posted by csparks, 01-31-2004, 10:26 PM
what? I am 21 years old with a family. Before you speak, please know what your speaking about. -Craig

I would like to request the mods lock this thread until further investigation is done by me, and if needed reseller23.net. Something does not seem right. Thanks

I have been hosting with reseller123.net/feverhost.com for more than 8 months now. In these 8 months, I have never experienced any kind problems with them. The email support is fast, the people in charge have manners and they are very helpfull. I've read the whole thread, and what I've experienced in the past 8 months, feverhost/reseller123 is totally not like what Biovelocity is claiming it is.
