On July 4th 2010, the web hosting industry will see a major change in the way it's structured.

Being in the hosting industry for over five years now, we've seen it all -- The dot-com boom, the dot-com failure, when web hosting went "unlimited", and now The Hosting Revolution. Thankfully, we're the leaders of The Revolution. So what is this revolution we're talking about?

The Revolution is a new product line being introduced by Club Uptime where, through the use of cloud computing and grid computing techniques, we can guarantee 99.999% uptime on nearly every service we offer. That's just over five minutes downtime per year!

It's all quite simple, really. In traditional shared hosting, your website is located on a single web server. In most companies, I would hope that these servers have some layers of redundancy in place such as redundant power supplies, hard drives in Raid1 or Raid10 at minimum, etc... Not only do we have the basic redundancies in place such as power, RAID, and more, but we have complete node redundancy. We can have an entire physical server go offline and have your websites remain online. A node going offline would look like a simple network glitch to the end user -- hit refresh or try again and it's back online again. Through the use of redundant SAN Storage and redundant nodes, we can have any node go down while keeping your websites online.

Not only are we offering this service to our Cloud Computing customers who purchase instance time, but on July 31st 2010, all of our Shared and Reseller clients will be migrated to the new platform!

Between redundant DNS servers located strategically throughout the globe and a highly redundant cloud computing platform, we will be and are the only company that will offer the 5-nines uptime guarantee on our shared hosting service. That's 99.999% Uptime guaranteed for all shared and reseller clients in addition to our Cloud Computing customers.
