Hi Guys.... Have a good day for everybody. Anybody have experience with ConfigServer Explorer. I just want to know advantages and disadvantages of ConfigServer Explorer. And please let me know about ConfigServer Mail Manage (cmm).

It's there for those that are not familiar with using SSH to issue commands and explore the file system. I don't think power user will find it useful. Regards Joe / UNIXY

I've found ConfigServer Mail Manage to be useful for doing simple administrator tasks quickly. Like adding a mail account or changing a password. Never really found a use for ConfigServer explorer.

Config Explorer is good for running simple ssh commands and changing groups and browsing files instead of running SSH commands to do that but its not useful for advanced users although I use it for editing files quite often instead of doing the nano or vi command which both are quite easy IMO.

Its a great help for people who dont like to use ssh and its just a UI for exploring and editing files on the server rather then having to do it in SSH. Tim

It's worth having just for recovery purposes. e.g. if you manage to stuff your SSH config you can fix it through CSE, or you can boot from a CD and go into rescue mode. No downtime / vs downtime

Explorer provides you with a full featured File system explorer and a Virtual Console to use within your web browser in WHM. It gives you root access from the top level of your disks and allows you to enter non-interactive commands and see the output. It is a very useful tool.
