Good Reseller using HELM!!!!!

Posted by ukdzine, 07-23-2004, 04:34 AM
Does anyone know of a company offering reseller hosting on a windows platform using HELM as a control panel. I have tried using the quote form but just got a load of companies offering packages with WHM/cpanel etc... So... a good company offering windows reseller hosting with a HELM control panel?!!?!

Shoey, thanks for suggesting reyox.net I did a search on this forum and it's hard to find anyone that would do the same... for some reason. I talked to the guy onsite and he was VERY helpful and told me everything that I needed to know. They seem very good and gave good and valid explanations for some of the issues that people brough up in previous posts regarding them. After alittle more research I may signup. Thanks Shoey.

Infuseweb.com is a great HELM reseller. Great Plans, Excellent Support. The owner is a HELM Guru and he keeps up on updates really well. Plus he has Cold Fusion and uses SmarterStats.

Yeah my current host uses SmarterStats but it seemed very difficult to setup and didn't work for me at first... that put me right off. I've never seemed to need that as Helm has the Stats info you need and i also had a program that kept track of visitors so i never needed it. InfuseWeb seem OK but i don't know..... I still like reyox.

Annette has really put me off going with Reyox see http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=300237 there's a ex-involvee/reyox employee agrument going on there. Not something you want to see going on with the people who you are thinking about getting hosting with.

Just to let you guys know. I was a Reyox customer for 20 days. At first, James did his best to make me send a good reference about his company to another client. I even posted in WHT on his request that his service is good. But after all, you cann't just over look the truth. They have very bad uptime. And a very bad policy on getting people twisted with their kindness at first. James, I do not support you and I will never do. Who knows, you guys can test their service. Might have improved? But Asher Syaaed and James Shanks really have a bad reputation as partners or so called "frauds". If they are trying to clear up their mess, maybe we should help them. Atleast bring someone from evil plans. Best Lucks! Just try to be good, it doesn't cost you any money! Regards, HostsWebs.

I'm not sure what was difficult about SmarterStats, but we have it setup so you do a one-click install, then log in to the stats panel. The rest is cake. We used to use LiveStats, but SmarterStats has proven a ton more reliable and just as powerful.

Well I don't know.... maybe I was just tired when i was trying to use it... Maybe I just had a dumb moment (starting to happen alot more recently... due to I am only getting about 4 hours sleep per day). Oh well. I don't really need it anyway, I have the Helm usage reports and a monitoring program installed with my live support system which tells me where everyone is coming from and loads of other stuff. I have all the info I need.

Its very difficult to find a good web hosting company, but may be following instruction will help you more.. Always assess a host's reliability before entrusting them with your website or your reseller business. Some of the tips you must remember while choosing your Host : How many tech support do they have ? What's the process of obtaining support with them ? Do they Back up regularly ? What are their support hours ? Good practice monitoring and maintenance such as procedures for detecting errors, backing-up data and the time response guarantee for the support queries ? Above all do a background search..that's MUST. 1) Check how old the main domain of the co. is ( If a co. is 2 -3 years old you can assume that they are still financially stable..though that should not be the only way how you can judge a co.) 2) Check Google & some other host directories for their PTR. 3) Do a search on hosting forums about them. 4) Never ever trust_a_hosting_co. who offers dead cheap ....theirs a difference in between offering cheap & offering competitive costs, use your instincts to analyze the difference. Remember, a co. offering dead cheap may not sustain the high prices which comes when they grow their infrastructure & then they eventually collapse. 5) Don't be in hurry while ordering..check their response time to your queries during first 2 -3 days and try to speak with them on phone, that way you can ensure that the co. is not run by a 14 years old kid under his garage 6) Always insist on phone no's & an emergency cell no where u could reach them during the time of crisis. and finally remember ..experience is the best teacher...so learn from your experiences and never do the same mistakes you did in past while choosing your host. Wish you all the very best
