Which reseller host provide seperate space for hosting and reseller domain

Posted by NeoGen, 07-14-2004, 11:35 PM
Does anyone know, which hosts provide additional Space & bandwidth for your reseller website. I am not sure, I have seen before somewhere, but I cant recollect. One I know one such host is 2wdh, but there was another one who was offering huge space for reseller website. Regards,

I don't quite understand what you mean?! Additional to what? Why not signup for a new reseller package?!

I beleive Harsha means an 'off primary network' hosting account, for the resellers service domain. This would be beneficial for such instances as server outages. At least if there's something going on, on the primary network, the reseller could still communicate with their customers. Simon

Errrmm..... I don't quite understand that last responce either!? What has Harsha's username got to do with his/her question? But your responce was nice and educational

are you kidding? "I beleive Harsha means" = "I believe Harsha was referring to"

Harsha, most of the cpanel hosting plans come with a particular amount of space, and you can divide it in the way you choose. Each account you create, including your main reseller domain gets whatever space you alot to it.

Well, if I understand the original post correctly, Harsha is asking if there are any resellers that offer additional space/transfer over and above the reseller account so that the main site does not chew out the reseller space. Ie. If a reseller account comes with 1gb of disk space / 10gb of transfer to create accounts on, it would ALSO include an additional 100mb of disk space / 1gb of transfer to host the main site on leaving the FULL resources of the reseller account intact. Am I correct? If so, www.emaxhosting.com does this. I have no experience with them whatsoever, I just happened to see their website yesterday so it was fresh in my memory Good luck.

regardless of the control panel, it generally works the same way. let's say you get 3000MB of space. you take 300MB for your website and divide the other 2700MB between your clients according to their plans.

hostdime gives you free space and bandwith when u order their reseller plan. there plan kinda sucks tho.

Posted by piksel, 07-15-2004, 01:51 AM
HostPrince also does this. I have been with them for just over a month now - all going well so far... I have their cheapest reseller plan @ $14.85 per mth: 4000 MB Web Space 40 GB Monthly Bandwidth You also get what they term "free space and bandwidth" allocation for the main account. This is over and above the reseller account: 500MB Free space on main account domain 10GB Free bandwidth on main account domain You cannot access your main account through the WHM like some packages. This could mean the account resides on a separate server but I doubt it :-) You access it through CPanel like any one of your clients would access their accounts. --piksel

Sounds gimmicky really. Seperate space for transfer and space, sounds like a comeon, but hey, if that is what you need to gain services from them, go for it.

Posted by ukdzine, 07-15-2004, 02:42 AM
What is the point in having additional space/bandwidth for the main website anyway, because most companies host their website on a different server to their clients so that if the client server goes down, they will still be able to get hold of them via. e-mail depending on whether it is the mail server that has gone down or not. Sorry, It sounds like i'm being awkward but i'm not honestly, i'm just saying. But really I wouldn't think that someone would put their website onto the same server as their clients.... after a while anyway. Hey but look at it this way. You'll never get e-mails saying that the mail server is down You're best off just creating an account on your server for yourself and using that. It's alot less hassle because it would be a job to find a host that actually does that (personally, i've never heard of it) and is a good host to be working with.

As far as I know Emax hosting and Hostdime offers you an additional space/bandwith to host the main site, however to my knowledge hostdime equals the same amount of space/bandwith as the one of your reseller package, though you can only host 1 domain on it..

Unless they have overselling allowed configured in WHM. Thats the only way around it I think.

Posted by NeoGen, 07-15-2004, 12:42 PM
Yup got it, it was hostdime... Just wondering they gave 5gb of sites and 5 Gb for reseller main site. Now how does it help, 5 GB is a huge amount, any user who wants to share his/her experience. By the way Harsha means happy. Regards

Harsha, im currently hosted on 2wdh as a reseller. Its just good that 1) Your site doesnt take up resources you can use for your cliets, and the space is provided at no extra charge and 2) Your main site can still be operational in the event that your reseller space goes down. I dont know about 5 gig though, id rather have the majority of the space for clients rather than half for me half for them

Well I looked around most keep them seperate. Try reading the description before you purchase. Gazzin.com however says they will "WE Host YOUR website for FREE Yes you heard right! Only Gazzin brings you this! More info on this feature in the faq above. " But I think that feature is already free. Not sure just read throughout the package if unsure just email or contact any of the reseller company. If they dont reply move on since they dont have that great of a support.

dont recomend to go with hostprince. Its only one person there(very lame). He's studying with me at the same university. At WHOIS fake name, surname, address and blah blah. Site has faked phone and address ... it in nytherlands. god damn. But he's in lithuania. If he'll down- "ll be lots of problems for cleints, couse he dont have backups... money and resposibility feeling. Its a bad guy. Better stay away from him

Well, these are heavily loaded statements and could have serious implications, do you have any proof to support any of these statements.

Hey Yummi, If I am not wrong, you are the owner for Gazzin, dont you think your above post is self advertizing.

Posted by rois, 07-27-2004, 11:34 AM
LOL... busted! but how do you know Yummis is the owner of Gazzin?

Posted by NeoGen, 07-27-2004, 11:42 AM
Search WHT Forum: like: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...ghlight=gazzin And check this: http://www.checkdns.net/quickcheck.a...com&detailed=1 And More: http://whois.sc/gazzin.com

Harsha, Im not the owner of Gazzin.com nor Psychz.net. Im simply a sales coordinator of psychz.net. I am no way affiliated with that section of the company. However psychz.net is under the same management just that I have no authorization to any of Gazzin's material nor billing system. Its completely seperate. Sorry if there's any confusion but I will no longer post anything regarding gazzin.com due to its complexity of its relationship between gazzin / psychz

Posted by Profuse-Will, 07-27-2004, 12:57 PM
Hi, I work for Gazzin Networks as a sales cordinator. I am really glad we got this handled in a proper manner. I agree with Yummi, Gazzin and Psychz are under same management but both companies handle their business in a different manner. Gazzin has its own separate servers, own staff and we dont share any of our clients with Psychz. I dont think Yummi was trying to advertise for Gazzin because I dont think he knows much about our company. He is just a sales guy for Psychz and thats his main focus.
