Hello, I'm not sure but you might wanna get some toilet roll as you might **** yourself when you see this.
Ok, so my website was starting to run slowish and then MySQL failed. Backup in seconds. I logged into cPanel to check the server status and my chin dropped when i saw this;

What is the possible reasons it's like this?
Edit, found problem - Client was CPU Hogging. Opened up his public_html and it contained a shell. His account was suspended . Pretty high though.

Thanks for the warning at the start!
You might want to remove the run permissions from all compilers (except for when updating software). I think there is also ways to remove permissions to open sockets (if it was listening on a port instead of just run from another shell), you might want to look into this as well.

Jailed shells are also good.
Also can easily monitor other activities on the server by typing the top command. I usually do it with a 100 second delay so it's not pushed to update like crazy like...
top -d 100
Then just leave putty open all day and just monitor it on and off through the day.

Keep checking the daily process log "WHM >> Daily process log". To check it via shell, use the command:

It's possible to prevent malicious scripts from being "uploaded" to user accounts. A few good security measures should do.
