Reseller plan: Hivelocity.com, other and reviews?

I'm looking for a good priced and featured hosting plan to resell to my current clients and for the new domains I'm currently developing. I'd like Windows and Unix options. I've been lloking at Hivelocity.com for some time but haven't had much luck finding other packages that compare to thier offerings. My questions are: Does anyone have any reviews, positive or negative of hivelocity? Would anyone sugggest using them? are their pro's and con's I should know of? Secondly: Does anyone know of a alternative that would provide the same features? All the review sites I've been finding seem more like advertising sites instead. Any suggestions for a good site that reviews reseller hosting plans without bias? Thanks!

Plenty of reviews from real customers right here, all you have to do is search for them: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s= Good luck!

Am i missing something here? You can't find anyone else that has packages that compare to them? If i am reading thier site correctly, the reseller packages start at 149.95/month. Have you looked at matrixreseller.com?

Hey WHW - I have been trying to wade through the threads in this forum but it's very time consuming and sometimes I'm not clear who is selling their own services or who is a user. The same goes for many of the sites I've found. Are they resellers, marketers, or an ISP? Without more detailed reviews I'm having a hard time finding a comfortable fit. I just found matrixreseller.com and weberz.com. Great costs. One of these may fit my need. I've seen some good comments in this forum about matrixreseller.com but not any about weberz.com. Any comments about weberz.com? Anybody know of others that might compare to the three: hivelocity.com, matrixreseller.com and weberz.com? Much appreciated.

if you're going for hsphere, then i would suggest diyhosting, they are a bit expensive , but the quality is good. i dont think there's a better quality hsphere providing hosting company. i found out the hard way last week when i went for an extra account with another company that charged a lot less. their servers crashed in the first two days so i went back to diy -Byron-

Since your looking at H-Sphere based hosts, you may want to check out this thread: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=301965 Weberz is run by the user "Mr Weberize" and has many good comments on this forum. What you should do is find a list of the hosts that you like and then use the search feature at the time of the forum and see what has been said about them. You never know what you might find. BTW: that thread also mentions a few more hosts that may fit into your plan needs.

Thanks bselig. If I might ask, who was the other company? Diyhosting looks great too!

Thanks for the replies. WHW - that last thread helped some. I think I've narrowed my search to 4 hosts: www.matrixreseller.com, www.weberz.com, www.reseller-center.com, and www.diyhosting.net. I'd like to have a few more to choose from if there are any other comparable hosts that I am missing. After reading more highvelocity, they aren't right for me, I'm a bit confused as to the difference in costs. The 4 hosts I've narrowed it down too are so much cheaper than highvelocity. What gives? Am I missing something? I currently pay 79.99 for a reseller plan, www.webburner.com, that seems to offer much less than the 4 I'm looking at as well so now I'm second guessing these 4. Should I be concerned that "it's to good to be true?" Last edited by surfinmtns; 07-30-2004 at 05:12 AM.
