I need to open Port 43 on my web server, how would i go about doing this. Thanks!

OK, great It still says the port is closed though :/ Do i need to save or restart or anything?

I don't know why it's hanging.. Just install CSF and use the GUI (Assuming you have cPanel or DirectADmin)

If you are using CSF, edit /etc/csf/csf.conf and add your port to the property TCP_OUT

There seems to be having some offensive rule inside the firewall. Have a check by the following command.

is there a hardware firewall somewhere else that is closing ports?

if you are using apf or csf,you can just simply do it using there config files
