SLL cert on dedicated ip?

i have shared hosting and its on a dedicated ip how do i get an ssl cert added and where do i get one thats cheap where browsers dont pop up that unsafe screen?

What OS does your server have and is there any control panel installed on your server?
You can get ssl certificates from godaddy, verisign etc.

Your best bet would be to go for a wildcard cert @ Godaddy - i think there pretty cheap.

Once you get the SSL cert you have to contact the sever admin to get it installed.i think Geotrust also provides cheap SSL certs.

A RapidSSL from NameCheap is pretty cheap. I would recommend going with that, they are $10 if I remember correctly. As far as installation its quite simple, generate a CSR from cPanel or whatever panel you use. Then you can just follow the knowledge base for that specific SSL or have your host do it.

Yes godaddy,Geotrust and namecheap,enom are few which offer cheap ssl.
