hi, My site is down from 9 days because a DNS misconfiguration, The registrar say that I gave to them wrong IP numbers and they cant do nothing the hosting providers say that it is not their responsability since the dnsreport shows that my site do not point to the IP they assigned to me and so ...they cant 'do nothing. I am completely blocked .....job is stopped , no responsable and no solution at the horizon. Can some one tell me who is right and who is wrong, and how would this issue normally be fixed? (cant' believe that there is not solution! ) heeeeelp!

Can't you go back into an Online Domain Mgr at the registrar and simply update the IP's to the correct ones? Most Registrars provide this online.

I have done it, several times but I get an error and the data I enter are always refused . also the hosting support kindly tried for me (I gave to them my ID and my pass to access the managment) they first say everything was fixed, just allow propagation, this was 4 days ago but then nothing has really changed, if you do a dnsreport check you could see what bad situation I have. .

Ok. What's the domain name, and what's the IP's you're supposed to be pointing to as well as the nameserver names?

Well the DNS reports on resellerpoint.it says it is currently using 194.242.226.87 roma1.websolutions.it 193.205.245.8 dns2.nic.it As the name servers. Which is very different from what you posted, So if I had to guess I would say the the entries at the registar are off, or the information has yet to propagate yet. I'd check with the registar entries for nameservers. Lyion

Seems as though the whois is still showing nservers... nserver: 194.242.226.87 roma1.websolutions.it nserver: 193.205.245.8 dns2.nic.it domain: resellerpoint.it The nameserer IP's seem set and ping ok. ns1.resellerpoint.it. What's the error you're getting? simple that the information cannot be upfated because an error...

This sounds as though the Registrar does not recognise the nameserver entries. Most likely, it simply doesn't show to them when they do the check. You should try to contact the Registrar support, give them the info you need, and the supporting info that the nservers and IP's have been set. They can probably manually update the info. We had this happen to a client of ours who was at GoDaddy. Support took care of it. Good luck.

Thank you a lot, I tried this too, the registrar say that the authority told the that the Ns1 IP doesn't exist so He answered " I can do nothing" and he really stop!
