can any one pint me to guide on how to setup rdns in centso for eggdrop bot like land-of-the-mid-night-sun.domin.com

You should be able to ask your host to create/change the rdns for your IP.

i am trying to wset up rdns on my own vps so can not get my host todo so since it is not a manage vps

Not doable on your end. RDNS zones are owned and controlled by the people who own the IP addresses. And the zones will be be on their public DNS servers, so you'll to send the request to your hosting provider. This is something every hosting provider has to do, so there should be no penalty for requesting a PTR record for your IP. (If there is, consider changing providers.) Most hosting providers usually give you the ability to this from the customer portal. If not, just submit a request.

rDNS for an IP is set by the people who own the IP address unless they delegate the control to you. Most of the Data Centers do not delegate the control to individual clients, so you will have to ask your hosting company/Data Center to set the rDNS for you.

i offer eggdrop bot so i am trying to set up vhost would that be done via rdns or is their any way to go about doing this
