how to compile php ldap module for simplesamlphp with apache?

I need to configure simplesamlphp for a domain but when I checked in php.ini I have found only extension=php_ldap.dll but I think it do not support linux. I have not found any other modules in php.ini starting with ldap. I have not even found any extension ending with .so in php.ini. I am running WHM with centos 5.2 final so please suggest me how to enable it (radius + ldap) in php.ini using whm or using command prompt.

well I found that I need to recompile the apache php with ldap module and radius module but have not found any way to recompile it using whm with required modules :-(
