I think it would be best to contact your current provider. More then likely, not allowing users to ping your server will not stop the attack. Could you please provide us with the "top" command along with your server specifications and connection speed. Until this is done no one here is able to provide proper assistance. Awaiting your reply so the WHT members may start assisting you.

my provider say that he can't assist me because the datacenter do not offer managed servers and about the " Top " now i suspended all account on my dedicated server to monotoring the ip who ping using jag monitor i have Corei7 2x4x2,67 GHZ connection speed : 100MHZ

I'm not sure suspending all of the accounts on the server will help. Your data center should be able to do something about it, out of courtesy since a ddos attack can also affect other servers in the data center. Maybe giving them a call and explaining that might help.

We really would need some more info to help you further. What amount of traffic is hitting the server? Are you sure it's an ICMP attack and not some kind of HTTP flood attack. I would suggest checking out your server-status page on apache to see if any one site is being hit with a large number of HTTP requests. If it's a proper high bandwidth DDOS attack there is not really much you can do at a server level. However the fact your provider is not helping you suggests it is not a large attack as that would affect other customers on the network.
