Cpanel Tutorial

Hi Just wondering if it is possible to download generic tutorials and change the logo on our own? Is it legal? If yes what software is best to use? Thank you and regards

It is definately illegal without others permission.

I was curious as all the companies that are providing branding service seems to have the same copies of the tutorial. The only add your logo on the first page.

They bought the tutorials with rights

The ones that I have I bought from cheapdemos.com. You can check them out if you're interested.

DemoDemo.com (the pioneer in this field) has the flash tutorials you reference. Simon

velawan, You are able to purchase these scripts from you hosting provider. Go into the support panel.

I don't use these sites I recommend buying a program called Macromedia Captivate. that way you can do your own tutorials about the stuff you deem important. when a client of mine is really stuck on how to do something I send him a rapidly made tutorial. it takes no time at all to make just do the action while captivate records it

Macromedia Captivate is only $500. Not just a drop in the bucket!

Posted by psykik, 02-28-2005, 03:24 PM
that's true but then again, afterwards you can use it for nearly anything it's an awesome tool. I use it not only for tutorials for my hosting site (since that's not my main occupation) but for other stuff as well.

I heard about captivate, I might try that. Actually I like to do things my self. Captivate might help. Although I thought of taking things the easy way out a put the video's on my site much sooner. Furthermore I am still new in webhosting. Is it possible to get the videos and make the logo change using captivate myself?

You would still have to get licenses for these movies.... From the looks of it captivate is the program DemoDemo uses to create their demos.

Posted by velawan, 03-01-2005, 09:17 AM
Where can I buy the license? Any idea how much it would cost? I am sure it will be a lot cheaper if I do it myself by buying the license and using captivate to change the logo. Anybody think its a good idea?

Youll have to contact the person that owns the flash files... If you are going to buy captivate its probably going to be just as easy to create your own custom movie...

Macromedia Captivate, as stated earlier, is $500. I underline that you also need to purchase Demodemo's (of some other) tutorials if you plan to use their tutorials in any way. Bottomline, unless you plan to make lots of tutorials yourself, Macromedia Captivate doesn't sound like a good investment to me and you're much better off buying the tutorials you need.

Won't work besides being illegal. None of the companies that use screen recorders are going to give you the Captivate files and captivate only opens a file for editing in its native format. Used to use it before we got tired of it.

We're about to become a client of DemoDemo, we'll let you know how they work out for us.

Vito does a great job. I`m sure you will like the way they come out. Our vidoes reduce alot of support calls.

I purchased them from CheapDemos.com. They were only $20.00 and they had my logo in them and delivered to me in under a day! Fantastic. Why build your own or try to get them any other way? $20 is a bargain for what you get!!!!
