Posted by happyyo, 03-08-2004, 03:13 PM |
Hello people
I am developing a site realted to web solutions where i will be offering web design, web programming and hosting & domain name registration.
I have been searching around and the olny free reseller program I have found is resellerspanel.com.
I would like to know your opinion about that program and hear your experiences if any of u have been a reseller with them.
Any other free hosting reseller account would be appreciate.
Thanks a lot in advance guys,

Free reseller hosting? Doesn't sound fishy at all.
You're always better off going with the best solution you can afford. Saves you so much hassle, for really very little cost.

Do you need a free reseller account that do customer support for free as well?
Joking aside, even if you find a free reseller account somewhere, you shouldn't put your client's site there.

Would you like someone else to pay for the domain reg for you as well as the web design and programming
You dont actually want to charge people for hosting when using a free reseller account do you?
I wouldnt go with a host offering a free reseller account for an indefinate time.
Maybe someone offering it as a trial but a free account forever is asking a bit much.
What does the host get from this?

Thanks people for replying
I am not sure if i explained right myself..... What I meant with a "free reseller account" is that I dont need to invest money for reselling hosting to clientes, it is like referring people to a host company and get comission for every client signing up under any plan.
Thanks again
Laura

Never tried them before. Looks quite decent though.

Ah right Laura,
Try looking around for an affiliate programme instead of a reseller account
Thats what you do with an affiliate account, a reseller account is when you buy from the host and "resell" it on
Hope that helps a bit

I use resellers panel and they work good for me. The support is excellent both your support and your customers. Although they get your customers on their expensive add ons. It's bad for you because its easy to find more affordable hosting with more features and may lead to losing customers. Although you do make money when your customers buy add ons like more space more bandwidth more databses or database space..etc. They limit the size of databases which i didnt like alotting only 10mb of databse space. Otherwise the do EVERYTHING for you even creating a website for you. Recently they have addedd access to your customers accounts which is good if you are doing web design for your customers. The only thing now i wish they had is Fantastico which I emailed them about and they said it is something they are looking to get in the near future. Both your reseller control panel and your customers control panel are very nice with support integrated within your customers control panel. Over all im am happy with resellers panel. But I am looking for similiar programs but I havnt found anything close yet.

i was like you before...always searching for a free website hosting reseller...or domain reseller...i never really found anything "free" except resellerspanel and bulix or however there company is spelled. both have very little things you can do to them. what your looking for is a reseller/whm right? so you can resell hosting? your best off getting that at whm-host.com its a reseller for a very cheap price (i use shared 1) if your not comfortable with paying online, you can easily just send a check or pure cash to there place...they have very helpfull support to...why am i typing all this for them? no i dont work there..its cuz after all the searching i finally found a cheap...what i wanted...reseller.

I'm not sure if people actually went to the site but it's an affiliate reseller. So you don't get a WHM you get to sell there hosting but make it look like yours.

actually. it does come with WHM X, and you can get money from it...it's a reseller.

Hello all. Just found this forum. I have been with resellerpanel for about a month. I tried some incidental marketing with pay per click but have not had a sale. Perhaps it is I am new to marketing webhosting or maybe it is the credablity of the company. Anyways their support is good...

Instead of Fantastico they have "The Elefante Installer" It seems to have most, if not all, of the scripts you'd typically find with Fantastico
