No one's home at varhosting.com?

Posted by amarie, 04-04-2005, 04:16 PM
In my quest to find a new webhost I tried contacting varhosting.com (reco'd by WHT members in that thread), but is it my imagination or is there *no* e-mail address listed on their site? Not for support, not for billing, and not for sales. Nowhere. I looked and looked. If you know where it is, I'd love to find out. Now I'm curious. I tried "live chat" and got an "all operators are busy" message for 10 minutes. There are *no* posts in their pre-sales forum. AM

Not to be rude but this is part of the 'weeding out' process of finding a host, just find ones you like what they offering (ond of these would be easy to contact) and if you don't like what you see cross them off the list. I checked the site out myself and one suggestion would be to try the contact us page listed below, the support center seems to be for existing clients only which is somewhat understandable. http://www.varhosting.net/component/...tact/Itemid,3/

not rude at all OKI, thanks for the reply. You're absolutely right. I never would have bothered posting except for all the enthusiastic testimonials here... seems a slight disconnect. Anyway yeah I was going to try the form on the Contact page. Just seems strange not to have a single email address listed there either. (nor is there one in the Pre-Sales FAQ.) Though I did find the owner's on the "company" page and e-mailed him the same question. ;-) I'm thinking it's a really really new company, perhaps too new for me. AM

well that's because that section just got created. before one just asked the questions in the general section. I'm not staff or anything but they are working on a server to get it run nicely you could post a pre-sale post on the forum roj checks it quite often

Hi amarie, Though they are a new company - at least as varhosting goes - they do have a contact us form on their site. Their site is built using mambo and that form acts as an email... I would probably recommend they add the actual email address into the fields above to give users the option of using the form or sending the email through their client...

Varhosting.net has always been the quickest to respond for me. Try emailing sales@varhosting.net. Most servers are configured to catch all emails and direct them to a certain box anyways

Hi amarie: You are 100% right - and now that I think of it, I'm wondering just how people have been able to get in touch with me for so long! I'm going to see that the site is updated with some e-mail addresses on the Contact Us page. I did get your e-mail, responded, and await your reply. Now, I sit and ponder how silly it was not to have an e-mail address somewhere on the Contact Us page. *taps cheek* Roj

Did people figure out your e-mail addresses on their own? The change should definitely help with sales
