Advice needed on starting up webhosting

First post so i should say hello first Hi ppl. I been a member here a while and have extensively looked around the forums etc for hosts. Now im looking to get into the market myself. Im looking at obviously starting small with a few clients. Then hopefully build on it as i go. Im looking for good advice on a decent reseller package for also good price I have no need for the package to have 24/hr telephone support as i am willing to cover this as is someonelse venturing into this with me but would be nice to have. Im very new to this so what do i need as in software i know some places include the billing software in the packages also and support. So can you point me in the right direction on who would be a host to go with and maybe a place to give me pointers on this side of the buisiness. I was also thinking on implementing a forum into my site for support etc as i feel that is also a good way of ppl getting support and also seeing how the hosting is working for other things plus im not to bad at administrating forums so that wouldnt be a problem im also on net longer than i should be so nearly always contactable. k im going to stop rambling here. Thanks.

I would recommend starting by reading the "Running a Web Hosting Business Tutorials" Forum at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumd...?s=&forumid=94 Glad to see you're planning on starting small, starting with a reseller, etc. Looks like you've got your head on straight

You might want to wait until you have a larger client base before you open up a forum. If no one is posting in there, it might scare off some potential customers.

Good point had not thought on that side of it well still reading and absorbing it all. Just realy need a good host heart internet was mentioned but unlimited space and BW doesnt sound right what if the customers all wanted forums and 50 ppl we on each forum you would need to hope they werent all on same server or would come to a standstill. Site5 is looking prettty good for my needs at moment and reviews have been good and i liked there co-founders interview also. But not rushing it want to make sure i dont miss something vital. Thanks.
