Review - HostingZoom (two months)

Howdy all. Thought I'd share my experiences about HostingZoom for anyone who's interested. I signed up with them about two months ago after having been with my previous host for six months or so. I had to move on because my sites were putting too much of a strain on my former host's server. The HZ sign-up process was a bit tricky as, for some reason, my debit card kept getting declined although I was being charged. I finally worked it out with HZ and got my account up and running within 48 hours. I signed up for the HZ-1 reseller account. HZ painlessly helped me move my cPanel data, along with my client data from my previous host to their server at no extra charge. They were extremely professional and courteous during the entire move. I contacted them numerous times via both live chat and via email and they always responded quickly. Things settled down a bit after the move until I noticed my sites were responding slowly. I inquired about it and they actually made root-level server changes to help increase the performance. I've never heard of a host willing to do that. Once the changes were made, performance definitely improved back to its original state. A few weeks ago, I noticed performance issues again and some server downtime. It could have been my ping services but I found it difficult to believe that both, separate services would report the same downtime. At that time, I decided to look into getting a dedicated box as I felt my sites were, again, becoming too much for a shared hosting environment. I'm now settled in on my dedicated box and cranking along with an average 5-10% CPU load. I can understand why shared hosting is probably not for me. I left HZ on very good terms. I feel I simply outgrew their environment. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking into a shared reseller hosting environment. Their anonymous email support to my clients was an awesome benefit and they were always open to suggestions and ideas. They bent over backwards to work with me while keeping other clients concerns at hand. I'd like to wish HZ good luck and great success. Thx for taking the time to read this. Regards, Kory
