LVM problem

hello
we want to install xen on our new machine .also solusvm staff send this after check server for xen requirement option:
"You have a logical volume in side the volume group. You would have to resize the logical volume or remove it."
"As per Phills last reply you need to remove your LVM out of your Volume Group."
can anyone help me how can i do that

If you don't know how to do this, perhaps have your provider do it for you... If your provider won't do it for you (i.e. you're unmanaged) then ultimately do you think that this is the best thing for you to be doing?
You'll need to use the LVM utilities to delete the logical volume.

root@localhost ~]# umount /dev/myvg/homevol
umount: /dev/myvg/homevol: not found
[root@localhost ~]# lvremove /dev/myvg/homevol
Volume group "myvg" not found
Skipping volume group myvg

Perfect example of why you shouldn't be doing this on your own. Hire a server administrator to take care of this for you.

completely agreed, you are likely not far from destroying your LV/VG
