Csf Connection Tracking explanation

Hello I have enable Connection tracking feature in "ConfigServer Security & Firewall" and have set it to 300 as that was suggested to the manual. But the last few days the firewall has blocked many of my clients ip's claiming as shown in the logs that they have exceeded 300 connection.But they didnt do anything wrong. How is that possible? Am i doing something wrong? Thanks
