BlueWho or Reseller Zoom

Posted by Beyond, 08-19-2005, 01:44 PM
Hi guys, just wanted to get some expereinced feedback as to which reseller you believe has a better ratio of price for reliability. I am aware that resellerzoom is newer then blue who but I just wanted to hear your expieriences with the two hosters. Thanks so much. =)

Can speak for resellerzoom only. I've been with them for a month. And I haven't experienced any down time. Though at times it seemed that the site was a bit slow. Hope this helps.

Thats a tough choice for me. Normally I'd pick the one with a longer history of a good reputation. On the other hand its hard to beat resellerzoom with end user support. IF you are looking at that then thats big

I've been with bluewho for over a year now and they are rock solid. So far nothing but minor issues and no unscheduled downtime. Support is extremely fast with a very high percentage of accurate first response answers (first response really addresses your question). By far the best service I've had in the many years I've had hosting.

Resellerzoom were doing first month hosting for $1, I do not know whether the offer still exists, but if it does then it wouldn't cost much to try em out.

Thanks guys for all your help. I've been with bluewho for a while but it seems as though recently they've been have some downtime during business hours and sometimes took almost 30 minutes to get back up. I had to take a lot of trash talk from my clients so I'd like to keep it from happening again. I'm going to venture out and give resellerzoom a try. Their accounts aren't too expensive so I might be able to move a few non essential accounts over just to try. Thanks so much.

Every since bluewho switched ownership they suck. Poor support and head banging frustration with them. Read this thread to see how fed up I and other are with their support http://bluewho.com/showthread.php?p=37690#post37690 Last edited by MaFunk; 08-20-2005 at 03:55 PM.

Doesn't seem like some of you were using proper professional language on their forums. No need to get all hardcore, if it was back up within 30 minutes, then thats not bad, I've seen hosts have it down for hours, maybe even days.

That's totally true though. Blue who's support got really super crappy, which is honestly why I'm thinking of changing hosters.

I've been with bluewho for quite sometime and have been happy with their support. I miss Joshua, a tech who recently left, but they have been great for me. Steve

Yeah, I loved bluewho before. They offered so much. They actually still do, it's just that the staff is not always as responsive. I think you're right, it's the change in management. My account with them seems to have gone down every day left week for up to 30 minutes. From your responses I think resellerzoom maybe be a good host to test out. Thanks for all your advice guys, you've helped me out alot! =)

In fairness all hosts go through a period when things don't look so bright. Whats encouraging is that I don't notice anyone at Bluewho cutting off posts or getting angry with customers. You can see the complaints and the answers right there on the sight. I think they will be fine . Their not doing those things indicates a plan in place to actually address the issues.

Reseller zoom is auctually good... since they have changed to new data centre.... its really good... but did u have a look at gazzin.com? what do u think about that?

Posted by Beyond, 08-21-2005, 08:42 PM
I think demostorm has a point. Myabe I should just hang in there and let them try to get use to their business. I mean they are taking over what was a really good web hosting structure. and to itechcreations, I haven't heard of gazzin.com but they seem to have a really great deal. I just though of resellerzoom because so many people recommended them on WHT. But they seem to have a good deal going too.

Yes i like reseller zoom as well.. i auctualy use them rite now... since i have the old plan... i get 99.9% uptime... but in the new Budget Reseller Plans .. they have the uptime for 99.8%... well i auctually depends on you.. what you want... a cheap price or a better uptime... for me 1% makes a hell lot of difference... but hey!... reseller zoom is great!

ok I'm sold, I'm opening an aco**** with them right now. Thanks everyone for your two cents! =)

I agree - also with RZ. Have to correct "itechcreations" though - try 0.1% not 1% difference

Posted by itechcreations, 08-22-2005, 02:24 AM
lol.. thanks dierich

Posted by dierich, 08-22-2005, 02:26 AM
lol - No worries at all. I have been monitoring the shared server im on with RZ (every 2 mins) and have no issues in the last few weeks (only been there for a few weeks)

Hey, I need to know what i need lol: VPS or Reseller I dont wanna spend a fotune.. but i need lots of features and and good service... ! I like to get a good access to my stuff.. etc etc... I auctually have a business and here in australia people are expensive and so am i.. lol.. so people make lots of profit.. but in other way around they auctually dont because the freeken tax is really high so people charge high. All i need is either a Reseller or a VPS to host my clients and manage them. I need relibility! and a good price? What do you guys say!>?

Posted by dierich, 08-22-2005, 02:37 AM
Aint that the truth - Im in Auzz as well - lol. Service - you will get that with any of RZ's packages im sure. I can only comment on Reseller and started with the budget. The only down thing for me is no live support (have to log a ticket but they are quick) and no Billing system - but im only doing it for about 8 sites ATM

I washed my hands with teh terrible 1and1 recently and moved to RZ.... i was apprehensive about what sort of support they offer (comming from 1and1 ) But one month down the line .... im imprssed. >my tickets (not that ive had many- perhaps 2) answered within the hour... by plesant support guys! Im only there a month so lets see if ill be saying same in 6 months but for teh moment LONG LIVE RZ stay away from DIRTY DITY 1and1

Posted by MaFunk, 08-24-2005, 08:47 AM
No, they were down for four hours and nine minutes. Furthermore it seems that at any given time at least on of their servers is down. Furthermore, it took months to finally get two major issues resolved. That said, they tell me that they have finally resolved the issues - which is good. And, their support is polite, which is good.

Do a search for both here on WHT. I have only heard good things about BlueWho
