nwood, Honestly speaking above doesn't in any way indicates that newista is a bad host. This to me just one side of strory, also after reading it thrice, I am not sure what went wrong and what newista did? I feel that above doesn't dispaly full picture, there seems to some disconnect in story somewhere. My 2C of understanding!

Yes Here is the below another ticket of him that was active at the same time with the ticket that he submit here, without any cut! Also there were some other tickets opened at the same time but those are enough to clear the situation i think. 2005-01-31 00:32 How do I enable SSL. Whenever I go to https://compu-host.net It takes me to the admin welcome page? Why is that? Dolay (2005-01-31 01:50) Hello, there is nothing as SSL enabling on Ensim. You can easily setup your SSL according to the purchased SSL Certificate. 1-Have you got any dedicated IP purchased from us? If yes then whats that? 2-Have you got any SSL Certifacate then who(service) is providing that? Thanks 2005-01-31 01:54 The IP I have is 67.19.190.153 and I do not know how to get an SSL Certificate. Also is it a lot of money? Dolay (2005-01-31 04:35) It seems you dont know how to build a SSL pages. As you know we are web hosting service and our support and knowledge is limited with only web hosting issues. SSL setup would be web hosting job but making a SSL pages or shopping cart jobs are absolutely out of this business but it is a web design issue. To setup a SSL site you first need a dedicated IP hosting site. It seems you have 1 IP but is this IP assigned to your domain? I mean have you converted this site to the IP based plan from name based plan? Secondly you need a SSL Certificate, We are providing Chanined 128bit SSL Certificate thats prices $49/Yr. If you want to buy let me know also we can setup it to your web-site. 2005-01-31 22:29 Umm yes I changed mine to my IP address and an IP-based site. Now I would like to know some more about what the certificate does, Also why do I need one? Dolay (2005-01-31 23:32) You asked how do you enable SSL so i replied. I do not know why do you need one? You may search webmaster forums what does Certifacate. We are not a webmasters or designers. 2005-01-31 23:35 My questions is do I need to have a Certificate to use SSL? Dolay (2005-01-31 23:41) Dear Wood, We are not webmasters and cant offer support on web-design issues. However just let you know that to use a SSL then you need a certificate, this certificate would be unbranded certificate or branded/costed certificate, you must search whats a certificate and how to use it from internet ie. http://www.google.com.tr/search?hl=t...tificate&meta= We can not advice more on this issues. Thanks for your understanding. 2005-02-01 00:09 Okay now this question is on webhosting. When making a site in the reseller panel I want to enable JSP. Although ti says you cannot use High security for that so I swich it to 3.1. Then it says that Apche will not work wkth 3.1 security. How do I fix this? Dolay (2005-02-01 00:21) Do not worry about this it will work. 2005-02-01 00:47 Okay 2005-02-01 00:48 But wait. I get an error that it failed and the site was not setup Dolay (2005-02-01 01:44) are you talking about http://www.compu-host.net/ ? ((((This site was up and running at this time))) 2005-02-01 02:16 no, a clients's site Dolay (2005-02-01 03:08) So will you please give me the client site name so i may check! Whats more : Please clear that: If you going to use that IP for a site then you must have 2 additional more IPs for nameserver setup. 2005-02-01 22:17 actually it is my site. . . Username: compuho Password: ******* Dolay (2005-02-02 00:45) Site name please read my reply well. I am asking a site name to check why it doesnt work altough there is nothing wrong at servers and connections. Please will you give me the site name , domain name, your reply must be like that 'mydomain.com' so i will check. Please i am asking the same thing for the fourth time now. We have a communication problem i think 2005-02-02 01:19 username: compuho password: ******** site: compu-host.net Dolay (2005-02-02 02:29) Dolay (2005-02-01 01:44) are you talking about http://www.compu-host.net/ ? 2005-02-01 02:16 no, a clients's site 2005-02-02 02:33 Yes, compu-host.net Dolay (2005-02-02 02:35) I offer you to lookup another host instead Newista! Also his submitted ticket have end as below, i do not know when he opened that thread but i replied before this thread probably: 2005-02-02 21:28 you know, I know I may ask some strange questions, but this is my first experiance with ensim. I saw your support and tatorials and you know what they tell me nothing. I have been in this business for 5 years until my old host shutdown and I moved. and if you cannot provide my with the support I ask then you might as well not see me. You may have only thought that this was a minor problem, but this is a major mistake by you! Thank you and I hope you know that your reputation will soon fall as rapidly as the Roman Empire did! Thank you and good night! Dolay (2005-02-02 21:53) Dear Wood, i do not want to longer this issue more but since i am the only one responsible for Ensim customers(we have mainly cPanel customers) i engaged with your problems . Nearly all of your problems, i must said they are not problems, there are so many misknowledge about your web-design knowledge ie. Login link of site admin problems, do you remember that? It was a web-design issue as all of your problems. If we going to try to support our customers about web-design then we must assign 1 supporter for 1 reseller then it makes 500 supporters to work at Newista... Also some of your questions have no reply that i can make but those questions tells me you have very important misknowledge about internet+design jobs... We can support you about the knowledges you seen at http://www.newista.com/support.html because they are basics of web hosting applications but if you want us to support you from the begining then we can not do that. It is not personal, i would like to delay your support request just to make you hosted at Newista but i do not choose this way like other hosts but i offered you another reliable service. You welcome to the newista and we are proud of that you have choosen Newista from thousands of hosting service. I only want you know that i can support you about 'clear questions' thats about hosting. -Do you want nameservers setup then lets setup, -Cant you make a plan IP based from name based, then let me do it -Do you want SSL certificate, let us provide it to you. But please read your questions before you asked them. Thanks for your understanding. Note: We are not an Empire of the hosting services but we have only 1500 hosting account at our servers. And we are growing rapidly because of reliability , uptime + fast strong servers. 2005-02-02 22:03 Well I already caceled my account with you and I am no longer giving you money so why don't you do the same and delete my account and I am sorry, I had over 25 accounts in my time and I though this one would work. I am sorry. Most of the questions I asked you where ones my old host answered. anyway I hope you have good luvk in the future. Dolay (2005-02-02 22:47) Ok thanks. I don't know about this certain issue but I too have an account with Newista and I have not been very pleased with the quality of hosting. I have found it to be very unreliable and I have been with them for a little less then a year so this isn't just some complaints about the set-up process or a little downtime.

WE have send credit and default explain for this 67.19.32.36 unlucky hardware crash matter to all of its customer... You have already post on WHT HostDown about the unlucky problem we were lived on 67.19.32.36 and i see you are trying to find all of the posts on WHT to post this problem. Why are you still hosted if you are not happy with Newista nearly for a year? You do not really need to stand that pain, there are thousands of Web Hosting Services around, if i were you i wont loose my time to post all the Newista realted threads like this. Even i do not loose my time to open memberships on forums just for doing those intentioned posts. Last edited by dolay; 03-03-2005 at 04:22 PM.

Okay, I checked my email and discovered that you did indeed send out an email yesterday (six days after the server crash) with a 15% credit to the account. I had just not gotten the email. My visitors are still complaining however that the site is unavailable every morning around 8-9 AM. Is this also a result of the server crash on Thursday?

Posted by dolay, 03-03-2005, 05:19 PM
Ofcourse. It was a very big server problem even the server bios death and we hardly saved the accounts and make them up from another integrated hardwares VLAN! This is already what we are unhappy more then any customers from 67.19.32.36. How can i describe the situation i do not know but simply we make up this server manually wit manual reboots and integrated hardwares... It has started with a kernel panic at the begining of last week and ended with a unpreventable server crash at last thursday and we make it stand manually since that time to reinstate all the data and for being sure to not loose any data. This was also the reason why we can not inform the customers of this server since all of our accounting database was hosted within this powerfull Dual Xeon SCSI server. The schedulded OSreload will over all of those problems which will be completed incoing 24hours.

Posted by Nathan Malone, 03-03-2005, 08:37 PM
Oh, okay, so the server should be up and running and all of my sites should be working correctly in 24 hours?

Posted by dolay, 03-03-2005, 09:22 PM
I am sorry but this board is absolutely not suitable for customer and service provider conversations as far as i know. You must see the details of schedulded maintenance for OS reload and credit details at your account e-mail thats sent to all of this server customers. You are hosted nearly for a year so i am sure you must know our HelpDesk and that we support our customers from there properly in order and ontime, always.

I have been with Newista for 1.5 years. I can confirm that Newista do not have 99.9% uptime if you split it over all the months I been with them. It goes up and down. I guess it's usually in the hosting business (?!). Anyway, Dolay is ALWAYS doing a great job. Where he is, I will be But their is one more, Ro***, that I don't like. I feel that he doesn’t know anything and just reverse the problem back to me as customer without checking the problem first. Probably, nwood, had come in contact with him several times. I can understand Ro*** that he goes sick and tired of all the stupid tickets, but heay, Dolay seems to be able to handle them in a professional way.. (!!?) But of course, this is only my personal opinion. If I would recommend Newista? Hmm.. Maybe for my "price freeze" price but not really for the current ones... I need to have a couple of months of "trouble free time" and I will start recommend Newista again. I believe that Dolay will take care of all the problems in one way or another, so am always staying with Newista.

What the heck? Are you a newista hosting customer, what is your order number? Did you ever contacted with Newista, what is the ticket number? What you asked from Newista to do as a customer and what Newista did not do?
