Restarted server and now cant connect via FTP

my wordpress crashed during an update so i restarted my server, it sorted out the problem but now i can connect via ftp Linux Cent OS 5 running with Webmin anyone know how i can get this working, im guessing maybe something hasnt loaded properly

Try, on your node - service ftpd restart

Okay, Instead try command - service proftpd restart

Hello, You need to SSH the server and execute the above given command.

Searching for service proftpd restart . . . . found 0 results : No Webmin modules or pages matching service proftpd restart were found.

Outside of webmin, Using Putty - on an SSH terminal.

Hello, That's great ! Please execute this command also. chkconfig proftpd on Otherwise you may have to restart FTP whenever your restarts your server.
