Most hosts use the terms interchangeably in their plan descriptions. Some have debated the technical meaning of "bandwidth" and how using it to describe monthly transfer is indeed grammatically incorrect, though most people reading it "get it" and don't really care.

Bandwith is the size of the pipe going into the server. Usually a client doesn't care about this. Data Transfer is what people want to know. That's baically how much you're allowed to transfer. Most hosts use both or one or the either. No one really cares anymore and everyone understands what 60GB of bandwith means.
