Equal or better than Solidinternet

Posted by fengshui-123, 12-29-2005, 07:03 PM
Hi, I have reseller plan with Solidinternet for few years, and now I hit their maximum plan of 20GB disk space, can't upgrade any more. Could someone recommend some other reseller hosting that have 30GB disk space and equally reliable or better.

I think it's time to upgrade to dedicated server

I am paying about US$30 a month. How much is dedicated server?

Have you tried asking your web host about purchasing a custom web hosting plan with over 20GB HD space? Generally web hosting companies won't have a problem making exceptions for higher-paying clients

I would actually recommend hostgator, not sure how much space you need but they have lots of bandwidth, i actually bought the aluminium the other day and had great support on setting my account up. Although then had to cancel it as the WHMAutoPilot billing management wasn't what i was looking for in the end. They're offering $24.95 - 5gb and 50gb bandwidth if i remember.

25 is like £13/14.. plus with the support you get with host gator, its better then saving the odd pound or two. Also do you recieve a billing management and domain reseller account with it?

Leaving aside the price, Hostgator's biggest reseller plan comes with 20Gb of space, just as the largest package from Solidinternet. Even Hostgator's Semidedicated only comes with 25GB of space. The OP needs 30GB.

Any decent dedicated server is gonna run you ~ $75-$100 (if unmanaged, twice that if managed - if not more).

If you're happy with current host, I strongly suggest you continue with them. Just buy another account from them, and stay with 2 accounts.
