vps online but cant ssh!

Hi, Guys! The problem is very confusing. I just created a vps (xen) but when I try to login to ssh it always says wrong password where as my password is correct. I really don't know whats going on and may be virtualizor (virtualizor.com) support is also not able to solve. thanks a lot

If your provider isn't able to fix it, and you can't fix it, you may want to consider finding another provider.

Virtualizor is not provider... I'm using their software mate !!

Its quiet possible that the SSH server (Daemon) is down.. try restarting it or ask your host to restart it for you.

but I can ssh to node.... !

Ah, I'm not familiar with it so I sort of went out on a limb. I'm guessing you're running this software on your own server and since you pointed out Virtualizor isn't your provider instead of saying "My provider can't fix it." I'm guessing you are either on an unmanaged server or your provider simply won't help with this sort of thing. Hopefully somebody familiar with Virtualizer/XEN can chime in and help you out but this is the risk of running your own server without years of experience. My advice would be to search Google extensively for similar issues and see what others did to fix it in the past.

What I ment was to restart ssh on that VPS .. not node as even the VPS;s OS has a ssh daemon which can be turned off

Hey I just got one thing here this when I try to ssh with the vps ip with root password of server its working... I really don't know whats happening here...

hmmm.. i think its best that you contact your host or restart the OS of the VPS using the control panel included with it

when you connect to it by ssh do you get a login prompt ? then ssh is listening and probably configured not to allow root logins if you dont even get the prompt, then its * not listening/running * firewalled * configured for key logins only

Log into the xen console and enter the command passwd if that does not work then there is something wrong with your OS template if the console is password protected boot to single user mode

Or third option shutdown the the VM mount it chroot into it and reset the root password

I'm not familiar with this control panel however it looks like the IP is not properly assigned/routed to your VPS as it's still pointing to the node. Have you enabled IP forwarding in /etc/sysctl.conf:

darkspace_co is a xen VPS it does not need to be forwarded
