how can i know how many connection now ?

Hi, i want to buy a fortigate UTM, it has a item "Maximum Concurrent Sessions", im not sure how many "Maximum Concurrent Sessions" is enough for my servers, how can i make sure what are the Concurrent Sessions on my centos servers ? thanx

Are you wanting connections to all ports? If so you will want to track netstat , specifically something like netstat -s. You can get the active connections however you really would want tot rack the established connections over a period of time. It would probably be easier for you just to install a graphing system like cacti or munin and visualize it over a period of a few weeks that way you can take peaks into account. Munin for example I know has a netstat plugin by default which tracks the established connection count from netstat -s.
