deleting ftp account

Hi just wondering if I delete the ftp account for abc.com will my site still work and still be able to log into hostgator cpanel. I never use ftp and dont want to have it.

Assuming they still use cPanel you can delete the FTP accounts via your web control panel, the default account however you will most likely not be able to delete. Just make sure you delete only the FTP account and not all the data in the folder it points to. In addition to that, you should REALLY contact your host for things like this. The above is only advice and comes with NO guarantees! Always make sure you have a FULL BACKUP!

Hello webbyjames Cpanel default FTP account cannot be deleted.if you create another account via cpanel you can do that. Thank you
