Ip rotation In sendmail..
Posted by p-root, 11-25-2011, 02:47 AM |
Hi,
I have a set of 10 ip addresses (x.x.x.1 to x.x.x.10) and i want to rotate these ip addresses in send mail to send mails (means every mail send through next ip address).
Is it possible to do this through sendmail.
Thanks,
p-root

You can basically do this with iptables. Here is an example:

No, I don't believe this can be done in Sendmail. Sendmail (as will most programs) defaults to opening outgoing connections using the primary (non-alias) IP address of the server.

Sendmail in terms of features is very old. It does not have this ability built in, thus why I gave you an alternative solution.

Any smtp server should work. You don't have to use 'sendmail'.
