With Bliksem Dead, Any Suggestions On Transferring Locked Domain Names?

Posted by Protege73, 12-15-2006, 03:33 PM
With all the issues everyone is experiencing with Bliksem, I figured I would start a thread to address this specific issue incase anyone else finds themselves in the same boat, and if anyone may have any solutions.Anyone have any ideas on how to get a 'locked' domain name (one that should never have been) 'unlocked'? My new host wants me to get Bliksem to 'unlock' it & to provide the transfer 'key', but with no one there answering emails (which seems to be the only way to reach them), I am at a loss as to how to finish the transfer. Any ideas?

Where is the domain registered at? You may be able to contact the registrar directly if your information is on the whois and they may allow you to fax them identification to prove that the domain name is yours.

Unfortunately, it's up to bliksem.. Though I'm pretty sure based on their record of things that they have something in their TOS stating any domains registered through them belong to them

Actually it shows as Enom, and when I try to log in, even via lost password, it says "Account does not match the site or is not in good standing", which is no surprise as Bliksem probably didn't pay that bill either! As to a whois, all 4 sections, Registrar, Administrative, Billing, and Technical show as Bliksem as the contact. Tried calling them (enom), but it says the wait time is 43 minutes, and after 5 minutes it send me to VML! Issh!

hmmm just another curve ball in there. Good luck trying to get your domain name back. I suggest contacting Enom directly and explaining the situation. After all, Blik was just a Enom reseller. Just wait it out and talk to them....43 mintues is a certainly a drag (but I am sure well worth the wait) and if not...I didn't suggest it

Yeah, good ol eNom hold times. They are usually pretty good at working things out though. Normally they will try to contact the reseller multiple times before taking further action but in the end it's their domain since bliksem was a reseller. Just make sure your information is in the whois and you should be good.
