Can't see account in WHM or remove it.
Posted by Dacsoft, 02-03-2005, 09:26 PM |
I have a client account that isn't visable in WHM anywhere except in the DNS Zone. I have tried the normal cpanel scripts to resolve this issue without any luck.
I tried:
/scripts/upcp
/scripts/updateuserdomains
/scripts/fixnamed
and a couple others I don't even remember.
A ticket has been submitted to cpanel. In the meantime, is there any way to increase the disk space allocation for this user?
Because this account doesn't have any databases, I even tried to remove the account and then recreate it. I removed the Zone entry, renamed the home directory, and then tied to re-create the account. But that gives me an error that the username is in the password file.
Does anybody have any idea how to get around this problem?

I found the solution in a related thread at http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread....7&page=2&pp=15
Seems it is a cpanel problem (knew that). Here is the fix that worked:
Temporary fix:
Create an account, then delete it. All the domains should now show.

You can also try to kill the user account from the command line
deluser username
After you can try to kill folder in the /home/
You should be able to re-make the account

Probably, you did not read the entire post. It is not related to re-making of an account.
