Sure...go for it...tell us what happens

Posted by Mikey this way!, 04-27-2007, 12:59 AM
I know this is NOT Brain surgery dude. Was just trying to get you guys' experiences if any.

Posted by sTag-Dan, 04-27-2007, 01:54 AM
That was the best recommendation yet Anyhow, it sounds like you've already done your research so why ask? You'll just end up getting the same results as you did from the search and probably from the same customers

Posted by Mikey this way!, 04-27-2007, 02:01 AM
Hi Dan! LOL, it sure is. I think he changed than Brain Surgery to "tell us what happens". Anyways, thanks for caring to reply. It's an old habbit. I do my research and am ready to go but, I just drop a post here at WHT and like to get recommendations. Just to see if my research was OK and I didn't miss out on anything. WHT has been a gr8 help. Till now I've not gone wrong while choosing Hosts. Hope this trend continues

Yes, I would also suggest that you go ahead and try. If you are unhappy, just use the money back guarantee period to move out.

Posted by sTag-Dan, 04-27-2007, 02:12 AM
You haven't gone wrong choosing hosts EVER? Who are you using now if I may ask?

Posted by Mikey this way!, 04-27-2007, 02:20 AM
Hi Dan, PMed you the list. BTW, who are you with?

Posted by scrapme, 04-27-2007, 03:38 AM
Do you think you will find really honest reviews here? A happy customer hardly post and unhappy customer makes full effor to stop you going there. If, they are giving you money back gurantee then go and try it and it won't cost you a dime as they will return your money if, you are unhappy. isn't it?

Posted by Mikey this way!, 04-27-2007, 04:07 AM
Well, you do have a point. But, well if you generally go through the whole post of an unhappy customer you'll surely be able to judge atleast for yourself whether it was a real prob or is the customer just telling tales and bashing the company. And yes, there a customers who post good things. Am one of them It makes up for the bad reviews. Anyways, you can definitely get an idea where you are going. I know 30 day refund exists but, it wouldn't be wise signing in before you know something abt the company. What about the time invested in checking it out during the 30 days? Anyways, thank for the tip bro.

Don't forget to read there basic plan policies and limitation carefully i.e database connection limits , emails per hour/domain etc Most of the user here become unhappy when there website goes down due to the volition of those policies and limitations

Posted by Mikey this way!, 04-27-2007, 08:09 AM
Hey thanks for the tip. Am infact evaluating their limitations ATM. I don't have any heavy users with me as of now. Atleast not where am planning to move over. Any other thing u'd like me to know before hand?

Posted by kjawaid, 04-27-2007, 08:28 AM
you can try .. and i not happy avail 30 day money back guarantee

I've been with them for more than a year, they have fast and reliable servers now. Customer support is also fast in replying to your queries. But if you have a forum or database driven website with more than 35-50 users at a time, think twice before you get the Advance or the Failover package. Read the AUP carefully specially the CPU % usage and the memory % usage. That's the reason why I can put my other website in my package that I got, the bandwidth and disk quota is definitely sufficient but what might hit you (that hit me) is the percentage of CPU and memory usage. http://www.resellerzoom.com/aup.shtml

Hi! Am looking to get the Budget Plan. What type of plan are you on? Any cautions about the Budget Plans?

Posted by Kleidi, 04-27-2007, 05:19 PM
i'm hosted in reseller zoom and for me, they r the best in reseller section.

Posted by kenchix1, 04-27-2007, 10:44 PM
I am on the Advance One and also used to be on the Budget Plan. If your site will only contain a few static pages with few users at the same time then there will be no problem with your site on the Budget Plan. But if you plan to put a database driven website with multiple users at the same time (35-50 including spiders), especially forums with SMF software, then you better get a higher plan. The Disk space and bandwidth is a good offer. No doubt that the customer support is quick and reliable and anybody who subscribe to them will affirm with that, but the tricky part is the percentage of CPU and memory usage that can criple your website once you hit the usage limitations. Also include the MySQL limitations (query time, number of connection per session, etc). Read the AUP carefully and understand it.

Well most of the clients have static websites and use the accounts basically for sending and receiving emails. However, there is 1 WordPress blog and 1 Movable Type blog. However, I've never notices heavy activity on them. They are personal blogs with hardly any traffic. I've gone through the AUP and have marked down the differences between the Basic and Advanced Plans.

Hey! I guess it was a wrong time/day to signup with them (weekend). It's been more than 12 hours and my account has not been setup. I guess I have to wait till Monday. Anyway, can't blame them. Let see.

Posted by Art's World, 04-28-2007, 12:52 PM
Yeah it says on their site if you order on weekend it will be setup on monday. I ordered mine on a saturday morning at 11 am and it was setup on monday at 10 am. I got a failover plan and so far it is smokin fast and no problems.

Posted by Mikey this way!, 04-28-2007, 11:40 PM
Hmm... Lets hope that it's worth the wait.

I signup up for a failover account on Friday, but I've not received the welcome email with the login details yet. Luckily if I log into my billing account the login details for the server are there. Everything seems to be working fine with the failover server.

Posted by Mikey this way!, 04-29-2007, 12:55 PM
You are lucky man. I don't know my Billing Account details also Waiting for Monday now.

Posted by Reseller Mike, 04-29-2007, 01:33 PM
You should of gotin your Billing account details after your order with the login info for the billing system. I would check your email box again (spam maybe?) Anyways, Good Luck with your new host and keep us updated!

Posted by littlened, 04-29-2007, 02:14 PM
You don't receive your billing details until you get your welcome e-mail (I think). I already had an account with RZ so I added the package to my existing accounts, that's how could login and get the details of my account.

Posted by Mikey this way!, 04-29-2007, 03:36 PM
After you said that, I tried logging into the Billing System. I could log in but, alas I couldn't find any server details. P.S. I tried to enter the billing area by trying the details I entered while signing up. They worked but, no use as of now.

Posted by Mikey this way!, 04-29-2007, 03:40 PM
I only received the following mail: Reseller Zoom :: Budget Reseller Confirmation In that there are the same details which I had entered while signing up and which took me through into the Billing Area.

Posted by Mikey this way!, 04-29-2007, 03:42 PM
It seems the Billing Login details were in the confirmation email which I got. They mention in the confirmation email that this is NOT a welcome email though. Anyways, thanks for helping out. I'll surely keep you guys posted.

Posted by littlened, 04-30-2007, 02:57 AM
Login into your billing account, then hold your mouse over 'My Sites', you'll see 2 options appear, click on 'My Packages'. That should show the package you've signed up for and whether or not its been created. If it's ready it should show as 'on'. If it's not yet been created it'll show as 'new'.

ResellerZoom Update: Well, as expected my account was setup on Monday morning. Everything is smooth so far. There was a delay in replying to one of my ticket about 3+ hrs. However, others were replied fine. Support is helpful and suggest workarounds and do it. I know it's too early to form an opinion but, so far everything is good. I thought I'd update you guys on the progress.

Posted by ldcdc, 05-02-2007, 02:19 AM
I think that was a fair approach. Do give us an update once you get to thoroughly test their service.

Posted by kjawaid, 05-02-2007, 09:52 AM
