Anonymous End User Support

Posted by kenchix1, 05-03-2007, 03:24 AM
I've been looking for a reseller account for almost a week now and found out that it is indeed very seldom for a host to offer an anonymous end user support. Currently I have 2 reseller account from different host, they are both very good but I wanted to put everything on one host. I only needed around 10-12Gb of disk space and 75-100Gb bandwidth with anonymous end user support. Both of my current host have anonymous end user support, but the first has a low limit of CPU, Memory percentage usage that if I put all my client's website in it, it will make all my client's website on and off - I don't reach the max quota for bandwidth, I only once reached the disk quota because of the erroneous php scripts that dumps file in the server. So what I put here was the 2 busiest website with around 35-55 users at a time on one site which is a forum using SMF. With my second host, the price is above my budget if I get the requirements that I mentioned above. This is where I put the other websites that are not so busy. around 15-35 users at a time. Most of my clients have forums using SMF. any suggestion/advice please ? thanks.

Have you looked at resellerzoom? I know they offer end user support for some of their reseller packages.

Hey kenchix1, Do you need any specific control panel, or would anything "work" for you? There are a number of hosts that offer end user support - if you search these forums (the reseller section, and maybe even the reseller offers section), you will turn up a few of them. Off of the top of my head, I can think of: http://www.ResellerZoom.com http://www.JodoHost.com http://www.cartikahosting.com But there are plenty more. Good luck in your search .

Innohosting is another nice option.

Webkore.net's standard reseller plan offers end user support http://www.webkore.net/reseller-standard.php

they do have it and I have an Advance package with them. They are good and fast, but I can't put all my clients' website on it because if I do that, my websites goes on and off for the reason of hitting the percentage of CPU/Memory limitation. I only got 1 active forum (35-55 forum users at one time) at resellerzoom and other websites has minimal to zero traffic, which I think is not practical because I can't maximize my account. They keep on saying that I have optimize the MySQL queries but my clients are using SMF, I only know a little about PHP, how do I do that ? That's is the main reason why I split my hosting and get a package from another host. Yes, they have it too. I have a standard account at Webkore, people there are really nice and committed. But the next possible package that will meet my requirements is not on my budget. Still, I'm hoping I can get a package that would meet my needs at Webkore- which I've been negotiating, aside from looking at other host. the basic, a Linux OS, MySQL, PHP with at least 1 dedicated IP, cpanel with fantastico, WHM, 10-12Gb disk space and at least 80 Gb of bandwidth, acceptable percentage of CPU/Memory usage and a fast connections will do. plus a good client support on top of it. Innohosting should have been the next possible host for me, but I wasn't able to meet some guidelines on thier TOS/AUP like : a.) Resellers are not allowed to sell any of their service free of charge. - some of my clients give free webhosting in a form of sponsorhip to some groups in exchange of advertisement and links. b.) Adult materials are not allowed anywhere, (inbound-outbound and storage). - since most of my clients are forum websites, they can't totally control the messages of their users and sometimes some forum members post links to adult websites or sometimes post softporn/nude/sexy images. c.) email and newsletters are allowed up to 500 email only, beyond this I should contact them whenever a client will send a newsletter to deactivated or increase the limitation. some of my client forum website exceeds 2000+ users. I don't want my account deactivated because of the fault I didn't commit and that is reality, I can't sometimes control/monitor all websites under my accounts. I also looked at Cirtexhosting and Hostnine, which I think is both good based on the reviews I read, but they lack the anonymous end user support. I'll definitely consider them if I drop the anonymous end user support idea feature. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, please keep it coming. I really appreciate it.

I've been hooked by the title, why the support is anonymous? as the clients don't know who's really supporting them?

I think the idea is for the end user to think that their hoster is supporting them, when infact it's the hosters hosting company supporting them. He could provide support himself, but probably wouldnt be available 24/7, so you direct all your support tickets to the actually hosting company who deal with them on your behalf.
