WrmWbHst Templates

Posted by Maybe, 05-05-2007, 05:04 AM
http://warmwe bhost.com/templ.html (get rid of the gap) It is always useful to get free templates included in your reseller hosting plan. But are these free, already-available templates? (In other words, not created by WrmWbHst…) I was just wondering as I have seen another thread about another host, and they use one of these templates. Someone said it was available freely: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showpo...9&postcount=51 ??? I was under the impression that the designs were unique to the company….but it appears they aren’t. I’m not saying that’s an awful thing, but it just wasn’t what I expected. Can anyone confirm? PS: I'm not posting to tarnish any reputations, so I havent included full company name or url, and would ask that you don't either.

They are not free or unique. They are from http://templatemonster.com which doesnt allow there templates to be resold or given away free. Avoid.

Looks like he removed the page....busted?

Posted by rv_irl, 05-07-2007, 07:41 PM
Most likely.. I would be interested to see what he has to say about this..

He obviously saw the thread, probably just figured opening his mouth would just make things worse. nah, that is too smart for a thief.

I'm confident he's seen it. I mean, he does a good job of spamming the forums for the most part.. surprised he hasn't come into this thread yet.

Actually, Template Monster does allow Reseller/affiliates to market their products. They provide support and a marketing website template. Nice arrangement for an added feature if you want to cover all options in the business.

Posted by RW-Steven, 05-07-2007, 08:36 PM
It wasnt an affiliate site though, it was a simple webpage offering a particular 4 templates for free for new clients.

Posted by Ireland, 05-07-2007, 09:41 PM
Oh! Well, perhaps the ideas was to offer them for free but to pay for them as a benefit for joining, Maybe the idea was to do something along those lines. But, the topic of ownership would come into play. It is on thing to offer "custom designed" services and "template designed" services. Authorship and credit should be upfront. Ex.1 - I could offer clients custom designed web pages that I myself do from scratch. Ex.2- I could offer clients Templates which are purchased and then adapted to the clients specific need. Both would provide a website at a cost, just who gets what part of the cost breakdown.

To get a better idea of what the kid was doing here is the cache http://72.14.209.104/search?q=cache:...lnk&cd=1&gl=us

That is different than what I thought. Template Monster is owned by a company in the Albany NY area, on the RPI University "think tank" site. Nice folks from what I hear. Well, their support company is there at a 518 area code.

He is desperately trying to cover his tracks A thread on his forums asks about templates, he replied I had to get that from Google cache He has now changed it to readHe just made this change today on a thread that is 1 month old. This punk is a jackass.

I'm curious how many of his users are using those templates illegally without even knowing. Certainly a cause for concern if the original copyright owners decide to take any action, in which case, wouldn't the people using the templates be held responsible for doing so even though it was due to the negligence of WarmWebHost? Looks like junior picked up his ball and ran home. What will be the new username? What will be the new host name?

To all, There is no excuse. We have took the page off. and is no longer offering them. none of our clients use them. And we are not going anywhere. we have happy customers and none of them dislike our service. Ask maybe about it Like i siad there is no excuse and its a shame that the OP didnt get with us before hand.

I wonder how much that "custom" site cost.....think they charged him extra for the badly done logo that is all blurry??? While we got this thread going I can also finnally add WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THAT DUMB DOMAIN "WARM WEB HOSTING"???? The servers over heating?? Was is hot out that day they dreamed this one up? Do you get a warm fuzzy feeling after you sign up? Is the competition getting "heated up" because they are pissed you steal stuff from them??

Posted by rv_irl, 05-09-2007, 06:52 PM
Whatever WarmWebHost has done, I don't think those statements are necessary. What business decisions he decides are ultimately up to him. I don't recall him asking you for any input about his company name and so I really don't see the need for bashing and insults. That said, I really don't see how his company name affects you. What may be "dumb" to one, may be the opposite for the other.

Posted by AHFBWEB, 05-09-2007, 07:06 PM
Why should he have told you first? It is not like this is your first screw up. You have had MANY names, even more than what I have posted here, most banned because you lack any morals and are nothing more than a common thief. You have had MANY failed hosting hobbies for the same reason. Please do close shop.

Posted by Art's World, 05-09-2007, 08:08 PM
I know I should not bash anyone here but it is my opinion and I stick with it. Dumb domain name!! Yes I have picked my share of really bad ones also.

Posted by AHFBWEB, 05-09-2007, 08:33 PM
He got the idea for that name back when he got in trouble for infringement of trademark with his c0ldhost site. coldhost did not take kindly to this joker ripping them off. Actually a member here suggested warmhost.

So, going back the the theme of the OP. Perhaps it is best to do orginal web design. If using a Template Service it may be best to indicate so. Something like, "I/we use and recommend Template Monster for already designed web page packages. You can choose your design via our affiliate link and I/we can adapt it for your certain need. We will credit your Reseller Hosting account for the purchase as part of our Reseller program. That statement would have been clear and proper. Right?
