.htaccess help?

Posted by Raz3r, 10-22-2012, 08:34 PM
Hi there, If this is in the wrong section, hopefully a moderator will move it to the appropriate one. I need to make my .htaccess file redirect my entire website to https instead of http. However, i would like my subdomain to not redirect to https (it's a forum) Example example.com should redirect to https://www.example.com forum.example.com should not redirect Can anyone help me with this, or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=htaccess+redirect+https if your forum subdomain is properly configured as separate virtual host an .htaccess for www should not apply for the other configuration and make sure your bare domain is an alias for www (or the other way)

If the sub domain "forum" is configured as separate virtual host in your Apache configuration file then the .htaccess rule for www will not be applicable to the sub domain.
